    I'm not the richest man alive, in fact, I'm a starving college student at the moment. But I feel as though I'm more fortunate than many others. I've been looking for charitable organizations to donate to. Does anyone know of any great causes out there that my hard earned money can go to?

    Being that your a starving college student why not give your time like they were saying. You will get alot out of it. I'm sure it will be great for you and the ones you help.

    There are tons of good causes out there and several have current threads right here on f-chat. Some good small ones out there that get overlooked too. One I know of that is particularly near and dear to me is http://www.shareasmile.com/. Great people and a great cause. I've also been donating blood every 56 days to the Red Cross for several years and donating time to cleanups and such which is always rewarding and much appreciated.

    I do put in a lot of personal time to small organizations but feel like I should do more.

    Thank you everyone for suggestions. I'm looking into all of them now.
