I see about 5 new entries to The List. Will update and post in a few days when I get back to NY. Am in Yosemite now with a wretched Jeep. Not a good place for Boxers.

My search for a well-sorted BBi of my own continues. Murph's looks particularly nice...

these cars are so damn stunning on the road, pictures actually don't do them justice.

Thanks for the pics, I thought the coil was factory and wanted to see what it looked like. I think mine is wrong as well and it doesnt have anything mounted on top of it like yours.

No- your right-the only non factory components in the car are the ignition which is MSD- The factory ignition simply doesn't hold up and is very pricy to replace stock for far inferior components- this is the only "compromise" from pure stock on this vehicle.

 

I agree the MSD is a much better unit and I will replace the internals of my dinoplex with an msd board to mimick the factory look when the time comes.

 

I own S/N 20017, '76 Carburatori. Perfect condition, fully original and restored in 1993. 45000 km from new.

Not at all. The list is mastered in Excel and exported in CSV format for posting. If the Boxer group here would prefer to see this in VIN order, chime in.

That's a match to the coil setup on my '83 as well.

 

Thanks, I have the wrong coil, well at least no sticker on it but its the right colour plating.
