I need to get my wheels redone to take care of some curb-rash and a slight bend in one. I have been agonizing about what color to make them. I need to decide if I should have them redone in the dark color they are now, or if I should have them redone back to the factory color. Here are some pics of the dark, and factory color wheels on my car...... (Thanks Todd for letting me put your wheels on my car today to see how they look!!!)

Let me know your opinions - if you like the dark color, or factory color wheels............Thanks!!

I think i like the dark ones but the yellow calipers stand out a little too much for me on the dark ones.

Any help is appreciated since I can't decide:

I like the dark ones - they look racy, unique and very agressive. However, they sometimes look (at least to me) like they're regular wheels with a lot of brake dust on them & dirty.

I also like the factory color wheels - they make the car look much newer, sleeker, cleaner. However, they're not as racy and agressive.

I could understand how some might like the darker wheels because the calipers stand out more. Personally the factory colored wheels blend with the overall color of the car and give the car a more balanced look.

Don't get me wrong... I like the darker color wheels, but they don't look right on your car. The car is too light. If you paint your car black that would solve it.... :)

I agree. And I'm usually one for black or dark centered wheels which I've had on many cars including a 911 Turbo in the past. I don't know what it is about Ferrari's but lately I've liked lighter wheels and am going with 19" Fikse Profil 5S wheels with a full polish finish on my 1993 512 TR.

Dark looks way better. More original for an already unique car. Sets off the caliper nicely and matches your color better IMO.

    Factory for me.

Dark wheels look good on certain colors (yellow/red/orange), but I think the factory ones just bring the car to life on this particular one.

Dark wheels always look better on "edgy" cars (like F40). It should either compliment or contrast the body color to create the "it" look.

The body color itself is "slimming" on this car and with black wheels it looks out of proportions - her nose looks thin and long and her butt not as perky.
Silver (factory) shoes make her look proportionate and curvy - the way she meant to look.

Now I am tempted to compare the wheels to women's shoes... (bulky platforms (black) vs stilettos (silver) on a slim shapely woman) ~

I almost always like dark wheels, but on your car I gotta go with the lighter ones. The dark ones look a little clunky for some reason - like an afterthought? Either way, beautiful car! :) -m

Go back to the stock color.

I know those wheels and your CS quite well and in fact these pics don't do the dark wheels justice.

With that said...I still thing the stock color sets off the car better than the dark.

I think you'll probably find that the answers from the car enthusiasts will be mixed (around half light, half dark). Probably even 2/3 dark, 1/3 light if you had a bright colored car.

From the general population who just think you have a 'cool car' and dont know what it is, it's probably more 3/4 light, 1/4 dark.

    Just an observation.

I"m of no help - you can't loose either way, they both look good.

Interesting though w/ the responses. 50/50 - good thing no one's life hangs in the balance.
