I was in South Kensington and walked by Lamborghini of London were I saw what looked like the most stark dealership I have seen, even my mother commented on how boring it looked. They have three ballon white gallardos coupes in the showroom, nothing else that I could see, but I did see later was a Gallardo in that color shifting paint driving. Not my style but interesting. Anyone else seen this dealership?

I drive past it most days - On Saturday there was used met. blue Gallardo and two new yellow G's. No Spyders and no Murcies. The only people I ever see in there are cleaners and you have to have an appointement to enter.

I still stop to lick the windows now and again.

Portman Lamborghini used to be most accomodating. Always had a nice selection inside and round the back and were always willing to chat and let me wander round.

I think it's just a style thing and I think they use the same style worldwide

Personally I think the place looks much better than the Ferrari showroom down the road

BTW you don't need an appointment, thats just to stop people hanging around inside the dealership (something which does happen at the Ferrari place).

I think you will find that the people there are really friendly and helpfull.

As a tip, they usually have more Lambos stored in the Range Rover showroom which is down the side street, round the back

I'm in London on business pretty regularly and have meetings around the corner from there so walk by it once in a while. I stopped in about a year before I bought my Gallardo, told them that I live in Seattle; but that we don't (at that time) have a local dealer; and would they mind if I just had a look at the cars for a minute. The lady at the desk immediately called a salesman up from the backroom who was extremely helpful and friendly, even after I immediately told him that I definitely would NOT be buying a car from them. He even went back into the back and came out with the keys to both the Gallardo and the Murcie sitting in the showroom and insisted that I sit in both cars, get a feel for them and ask as many questions as I wanted.

Not only did they not ask me to leave, he encouraged me to stay as long as I liked and took about 30 minutes out of his day to spend with someone who was interested, but also someone whom he knew would never be one of his clients. Very impressive, I have to say.

Ah another seattlite, I dont have any experience of on how they handle people, I just said it looked like a very stark dealership, with three white gallardo, which if I am not wrong, white isnt a very popular color in the U.K, I just thought it wasnt very interesting

The dealership here in Melbourne is amazingly friendly. They know full well I'm not in the position to buy a car, and they're always totally welcoming. I go in there every few weeks to admire a new car (they had a bea-u-tiful Miura in a few weeks ago, alongside a Diablo GTR campaigned in the Nations Cup) and they're just totally chatty and open. They always have colourful cars coming and going, there's numerous G-cars, as well as a few Murcielagos.

In start contrast to some of the Ferrari dealerships I've visited. Maranello Motorsports here in Melbourne have been the worst. They seem to despise anyone who admires the cars. It's a real shame, because it really destroys my aspiration to own a Ferrari.

FerrariWA - I don't remember what color the cars were when I was there. It was about a year or 1.5 years ago, but they weren't white at the time. I actually wouldn't mind seeing three white ones all together. I agree that it would be stark, but I might just like that.

I live in Seattle, but I travel quite a bit. It looks like you live in the UK now?

Anyway, I found the dealership to be extremely friendly and helpful.

Armadales up in Scotland is 10 times more exciting than that. Numerous diablos, up to 10 of them, Murcielagos, 288, Countachs, F40, Jalpas etc.

    Know where I'd rather be

Yes but considering the rent that LamboLondon must pay in South Kensignton you could probably buy most of Glasgow

I think they are wasting money then as Armadales is based way out of Glasgow fairly close to Edinburgh so not in any major city. He sells alot of cars which goes to show that the location really is not a matter!

Still know where i'd rather be!

No problem, Carlo's site is actually quite tricky to find. He does actually have a lot more cars than listed, a few crackers in his own personal collection such as a white countach 5000s etc. He really is a die hard Lamborghini enthusiast and has great knowledge about most UK cars so very handy to know.

    Enjoy

The Lambo dealer in Thailand has something like VIPs & Customers Only posted at their door. Same with the Ferrari Dealer. Was there last weekend.

Marketing at Oxford? Interesting. Good luck to you. (sincerely) I would think that with a degree from Oxford you should have plenty of employment options.
