alright guys, here we are. i took some pics of the pulleys for your enjoyment. the one thing left to do is press on the flanges. in so,e of the pics i plced the flanges on to show how it will look. originally i had ordered the stamped flanges from the mfg of the pulley stock but when we got the pulleys done and back from plating the stamped flanges looked like ass next to the pulley so i decided to have custom flanges milled from billet. so it seems i keep finding new ways to spend my own money.
i think you'll agree the milled flanges look good. there will be delay in production as next week the shops closed for the big race vegas, something to do with MX.

    woops wrong type...

    Nice!!

Q: It looke like recesses for the cap screw heads are machined after anodization? I'd have thought you'd want the extra hardness you'd get by doing it before they're anodized.

the aluminum is tensile strong enough for where the bolts reccess are. the ano was for visual color on the center hub and the outer toothed hub is hard ano'd for belt wear. the concern is that the belt over time can wear down the surface of the pulley, but with hard ano on 7075 that is no longer an issue.

the vernier marks and the reccess are milled after anodizing for a visual difference and to give it 'pop'. personaly i think they came out better than i tought they would. the natural hard ano on the parts give it a 'heft' that seems to fit the application.

yes, right now they are $1200. after this run they will be sold thru the distributors. seeing as how i'm not a sponser i'm not going to go in to details on that end. i'll let the distributors handle that.

Looking great there! Few quick questions: 1) how will the flanges be secured, 2) what belt is that (common, less expensive than ferrari), and 3) same for a 3.2QV and 2V?

the flanges are pressed on, heat pressed. the belt is a gates belt for the 308 it's somewhere around $20 a belt depending on your supplier. NAPA is Gates distributor. the 308 and 328 use different leangths of belt so they would be different part numbers. the great thing about the belt isn't really the cost but that you can get it from any NAPA store. it fits the Mitsubishi Evo from '00 on so it should be fairly easy to get.
as a copunter point when i was doing the research and development i spoke with the US branch of Dayco and they could not get or supply the ferrari belt as it was part of the European branch and they had no direct connection with them, so in short i'd have to order through a european dist to get the belt. Gates was easier to deal with and being that they run alot thru NAPA it was an easy choice.
