Bullfighter? didnt I see a picture of Brittany pushing her Ferrari off the road? None of what Jay said was untrue. The Z06 is an incredible car for the money and WILL beat most F cars flat out. Dont get me wrong I love Ferraris but.....

Dr. Phil sounds like a lot of those rich guys who suddently decide they want to "wallow" in the car hobby. They never knew the difference between a 32 Ford and a 55 Chevy, but they run out and buy a Ferrari or Corvette so that they can become a "car guy". At least Leno has spent plenty of time wrenching on his cars throughout his life. If I had to bet my dollar, I don't think that Dr. Phil or Letterman would know the difference between a flathead screwdriver and a flathead Ford.

I wouldnt be suprised if it (Z06) beat the 360 in a straight line, but their is no doubt in my mind that the 360 handles MUCH better than the vette.

About three weeks ago I met Jay Leno while driving a 360 Spyder. He looked the car over said "nice, the F1 shifter, where's the gorgeous blond?" as I did not have one in the car. From there we went on to general car talk from the strange three wheel vehicle he was driving and that had broken on the side of the road to his Carrera GT and spinning it at Talladega. I didn't sense any anti Ferrari feelings on him.

I bet what he was driving was a T-rex. Was the CGT his or was it a porsche press car? I coulda swore it was a anniversey of Donahues dad braking 200 in a 917 so Jay and Donahue broke 200 agian at the same track.

I think Leno was just making small talk. You should not let his comments sway your unending passion for the Ferrari. I wouldprefer to read his comments as belittling to Dr. Phil. Maybe Phil's southern drawl made Leno think he was a little 'slow'.

the chinster disses F-cars for the simple fact he sucks as a driver and cant handle the ride...im sure its not the fact in the early 90's on a few tight sections of Benedict Canyon a certain local overaged delinquent driving a 365gtb never missed the chance to divebomb past him with a Looooongggggg toot of the horn... usually 2-3 times a week as he headed towards Burbank...picture Cruise buzzing the bridge in Top Gun!!.
judging from his expression when he spotted it at the BHCC im sure he hated me!

I've noticed him not in sync with his guests lately. I think he is second to Conan. I'm looking forward to the change.

Leno doesn't hate Ferraris, he was just talking. Even if he does, who cares...a Ferrari is a scaled down version of God and everyone knows that.

... but you'd rather drive a Corvette because it's faster?

(the 'but' requires much, much additional explanation!) ;)

Dr. Phils first Ferrari was a 456 that he had trouble with the first week he had it. I cannot remember the problem but it was something small. Instead of taking it to a dealer, he took it to an independent who did not even know Ferraris and he immediately messed it up worse. He lived in Dallas at the time and we only heard about it through the grapevine after the fact.

About a year later his son wandered into FoD looking for a 355. We had several really nice cars but he said they were too high and left. He came back with Dr. Phil the next week to look at the cars again. Dr. Phil is a big man (especially compared to me) and tried to be intimidating. " Wait a second Dr. Phil, you are on my territory now. I will not be intimidated by you". They both walked out when we would not lower the price $20K below our first asking price.

The son brought in a 355 that he found somewhere else for $75K (in 2001) and wanted us to go through it and make sure it was service properly. He said all it needed was a 30K and everything else was fine................. Everything was fine except for the bad cylinder liners, bad headers, bad brakes, poor body and paintwork, very weak tires, warped instrument pod, and cracked leather on the seats. We were asking $95K at the time for a year newer car with only 10K miles that had new brakes, perfect tires, no paint or bodywork ever, good headers, very good compression and the interior was basically new on. He would not do all the work necessary to get the car right. He said we were trying to get to him on the repairs. We showed him the leakdown tests, the bad headers and all but he would not believe us. He sold the car soon after and was telling everyone it was our fault that the car was in the shape that it was. I will just say that I hold little regard for Dr. Phil or his son that he speaks so highly of......

Yes, I saw Leno last night and had to laugh at what they said.........

I thought he knew a thing or two about automobiles?

Does the new suspension on the Z06 help the handling that much so that it out-handles a european exotic?

Dr. Phil says , "The Z06 is way faster than the Ferarri. It's basically a race car, with a radio!" haha!

I've never quite understood why people compare the 2. The Z06 is a great car and so is the Ferrari, bu they shouldn't be lumped together. It makes about as much sense to compare a Lotus Elise and a Maybach.

2nd fastest time around the "ring" to the $450K CGT must tell you something!

A buddy of mine was at the track - he reeled in and passed an F40 without much problem! Hung with him thru the corners, when passed him on the straight!

Dr Phil belongs in a Corvette, as I am told by female friends guys in Corvettes like them because they look good from the neck up as you can't see their body and they like that sporty life crisis car look.

As for Leno I still can't get over that movie he did with Pat Morita aka Karate Kid fame were he drove that black 58 Vette.

Incorrect. The C6Z outperforms & outhandles a 360.1/4,1/2, Ring etc.
