So if u wanna catch a glimse of whole load of lambos ferrraris, merc slr and porsches then watch out on express way from bakok to phuket on comming thursday. check out www.gumballl3000.com for more info Ciao
FYI, they are leaving sunny Phuket this Thursday morning for Bangkok doing the 800+ journey in one go with all 40+ sportscars. Arriving at The Oriental Hotel early evening where they would stay the night. They start the next day with a short trip to the airport in order to load their sportscars in the Antonov cargo plane, then bye bye. Expecting Enzo, MC12, SLR, Zondas', Mercias', F1, and etc in the line up in front of the hotel.
Got a telephone call in from the organiser of the rallye yesterday evening requesting for some help to find a local willing to lend/rent a Ferrari to some of the participants arriving without cars. Unfortunately, I had to decline their request due to some logistical problems getting a car, that's if one was available, down to Phuket on time for the start. Anyway for your info, the boys down in Phuket owning the 4 Ferraris' weren't exactly keen on the idea of the lending/renting concept, can't figure out why.......uhhhh???

do you know how fast the guy was going? i know the rd out of phuket; its hilly and twisty. any photos of the crash?
Not very fast, one of the driver told me as it was a rally and he wanted to save as much time and gas and to make sure not to get lost which nearly all of them got lost once they arrived in Bangkok. The californian guy told me the fastest he went was 140 mph in his Noble. Depending on the road they took, from phutket to Bangkok, there is a very nice super highway three lanes each directions, if they took that road they could go flat out no problem, but if they took local road which I think most of them did, like the crashed Lambo guy and this californian guy, they couldnot go any fast...
Please refer to my last post, didn't mention an MC12 or Zonda, those were initially mentioned in the first one prior to seeing the actual line up in front of The Oriental Bangkok.
