Dear Fellow Fchatters, Last week i bought an first edition red assembled 1/12 tamiya f50 for 180,- euro's including sending to my home so actually 174,50 euro's. I totally love it's details and the whole thing. Just in the back of my mind i'm wondering if i paid to much or was i lucky to purchase it cheap please give you opinion. Thanks in advance, David
i paid mine 250Euros in HK in france it was a the same time 400.. one of the first F50 was sold on ebay 1200 ...no comment!
I have a half a dozen of 1st version F50 before, sold them out for 700USD each sometime before the 2nd version released in past years...
Is the first version EXACTLY the same as the second version other than the packaging and small assemble required for the second version?
you told me that yellow version are better in detail for engine too. F50 i think mine it s version 2.
SLK99 you say the chasis is differant in what way then well good to hear i got mine for a bargain and ok maybe 2nd version chasis is better this is still a first edition wich is rarer than the second edition. David
The way Tamiya make the chasis is different, the major different part is the rims... if you had 2 versions, you can see the difference.. it is hard to explain... the paint of 1st version is not too good...
SLK99 you mean that the paint is thinner or something, well to me the thing looks great, try to explain the thing with the rims
the inner part of the rim is different, some minor difference between the suspension... The paint is not too good, it can get rusty easily in wet condition. The shiny is another issue...
I dont think anyone would really notice these things unless you are a die hard model fan and inspect them for every detail. To me, I collect them all but i just leave them on the shelf to be displayed and never really look at the finer details. if anyone wants to look at them then they can but I always cringe when they pick up the Enzo and the wheels hangs off etc (Christian, I thought you like that one! ) Matthew
i cant see how it would get in a wet condition you must be very stupid to clean this model with water the inner rims i dont even see same as suspension i dont really pay much attention to it and the paint is shiny and red like it should be in my eyes
i like the Tamiya Enzo, i can t explain to you, it s like that. Maybe my Enzo' s are different than yours? i don t know? can be that it comes to the fact that the direction is reversed... (i mean in left side) about wheels i put black FXX rims, i haven t your opinion... about look not the car. Christian
The weather in HK is so humid in May- Aug... Well, the 2nd version is cheap to buy in HK, I take the 2nd version, as it can be convert to a F50GT 1/12 with a transkit, but for the ver1, it cannot... that's the biggest different.
The Black Enzo is nice and the wheels look great. In my honest opinion, I've never like black with black as I just think its too dark and its very difficult to see the contours ot the wheels etc (especially on a real car at night). A lot of people do like black cars with black wheels and for that reason I appreciate it. The model does look better in black i think than the red and the wheels add a touch of quality to the model. Regards, Matthew
what about my purchase? i paid £110 for giallo yellow f50, mint in box with auto art 1/12 dipsplay case? good deal also? think its the later issue F50 as the box looks more like that of the enzo
