what is worth noticing is: " Its believed that all three of his exotic cars were stolen from Europe. " wow really? but the Enzo s sn have been revealed? seems strange, no? the charges are big against him...
thanks thanks thanks hahaha!!!! but stolen in Europe what do you think? possible that an enzo could be stolen?
It was "stolen" from a bank. He owned the car but the bank foreclosed on it and he moved it to America before they could take it, so calling it stolen may be stretching the meaning of the word, but I don't think there's anything better to call it Man, what an idiot. What I love about the whole story is that he probably put on aftermarket wheels to preserve the original wheels and tires for some concourse 50 years from now. Wow... what a waste.
Anyone know if the destroyed Enzo will ever see the road again? As in someone rebuilding any of that mess Eriksson left of it and driving it again?
actually, he DID steal it. until he makes the final payment the bank owns the car. so if he stopped making payments and disappeared he stole the car, plain and simple.
How the hell was this guy driving a car that's worth over a millon dollars with no plates, no registration, and no proof of insurance around Sunset and Bel Aire all the time? Did the thought of maybe being stopped by a cop never cross his mind at all?? Either that or he knew some of the cops around the area.
In liverpool we have a fantastic saying for somebody living beyond their means. "fur coat but no knickers" if the the truth was known he probably could not afford a mini cooper. what a sad soul
I doubt if Eriksson is short of funds after the Gizmondo/Tiger Telematics affair. He will probably try to flee before he goes to jail.
if you were a police officer and saw a ferrari enzo, would you look at the plates? he put up bail money and has an electronic monitoring device.
The only "electronic monitoring device" I'd be satisfied using on him would be either Robbie the Robot from Forbidden Planet or those automatic machine guns from that horrible movie "Congo". You're right, I probably do give him too much credit for the wheels. If he didn't even own the car, he didn't have much incentive to maintain it (feels perverse to say that, seeing the car how it is). What was the final story on that handgun clip they found at the scene of the crash? Has there been any new information on that?
$3m is pocket change when you have embezzled $210m. elec monitoring device... is that like the one from total recall where it blows your head off if you get out of range?
So did he buy it new or secondary market? Considering his possible underworld connections, I thought that things like this were why Ferrari requires the purchase money to be proved "clean" when one buys a new Ferrari. "Mafia need not apply" kinda thing. That's why "rap stars" create record labels to "clean" their drug profits.
Ferrari said they'll have it as good as new for 300,000(I don't know what type of currency as I read it in a UK magazine)
