Frankie, get your mind off of food! Ahhh, such a waste; a good guy eating himself to death. Ya know ROCKETBOY will take ya down on this one!!!! Sheesh, I don't think I've ever taken photos of FOOD!
LOL! Hey, all I can say is this.....I was corrupted by "Mad Magazine" as a little kid. "Cheech and Chong" and other "Mother Earthly" substances as a Teen..... Now. it's probably because of all of the medicine crap that I have to take just to be able to move around... The food pix? That is all because of all of the times that I had to sit and wait in Doctors offices. And the ONLY Magazines that they had to read were "Good Housekeeping" and stuff like that... But I do not simply "Cook Food". I "Create" Masterpieces! Worthy of being captured for eternity on Film.... I had very seriously considered opening a Restaraunt earlier in my life. At the reccomendation of several of my friends, family and neighbors who always come sniffing around when they smell my cooking. And who have all eaten my cooking. But, I know several people that DO own Restaraunts. And, I don't feel like putting in 18 hour days, 7 days a week. So, I never did. Lighten up, Man! (Like I need to do, Physically.... Life is TOOO short to be serious all of the time. It is a scientifically proven fact that laughter prolongs Life. And... it helps take the Pain away.... "Just havin' fun"....Like Johnny B. says....
Sorry to hear that. In my case, after nearly being Killed in 3 serarate accidents. If I even open my eyes in the morning, it's a great day... But....when I try to get up, and I am hurtin' really bad....somedays, I wonder.... Though, yesterday, I had a Most Golden Day....
Glad to have you with us. We can then discuss Monaco qualifying. Or not... Sean would have to answer, but I'm sure this is an easy going place without much tickets/rules. But join us at Sean's first anyway.
Last year, the fee to race was $35 for the whole evening. I've seen some people cooking there by their team's trailer, but the facility offers food & drink, and I don't know if they officially allow food or not, but that's why we are having a BBQ first! By the way, I am dropping off some flyers this week at Continental. Gary was nice enough to allow me a spot on their counter.
Ok, a little update on a few fronts. I spoke with Russ C. today who is interested in coming. He asked which car to bring and with the selection he has, I said anything you'd like (Enzo, CGT, Ford GT, Mercedes/McLaren SLR). Also, for those of you who remember the picture I posted with the girl with my guitar, I can now give some more details as they are out. The magazine that did the photo shoot at my studio was called 'Soak', which is kinda like an FHM or Maxim. One of the owners/investors in the magzine is Waylan, who is part owner of the Autobahn Country Club. Since we're going to be filming the party/drag strip event in HD, Soak will be doing a photo shoot as well, bringing some models. For the benefit of any ladies who will be attending, myself, Andreas or Frank will pose in our underwear (just kidding!) Anyway, here are some pictures of a model named Justyna who did the shoot at our place. I don't know if she will be one of the models in attendance, but if you check out www.soakmag.com they always have a fine selection. Anyway, these are the raw pictures, they may have been edited for the magazine, which by the way, shoot them in 3D, so you can put on the provided 3D glasses and things pop out at you... :O) Anyway, back to cars... Frank just stumbled across this go kart place: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=107157 Sounds to me like a worthwhile day in Joliet: - Go kart - BBQ at Sean's - Drag racing
LOL! No....I don't think that anyone would want to see me in my grundies in my current fat self condition..... Justyna is CANDY!!!! For SURE!!!!!!!Mercy, Mercy, Mercy!!!!!
We'll have a BBQ at Sean's house at 4pm and go racing at 6pm. Anybody interested will get a PM with directions to Sean's house. So far we have the folks below: Current drivers: Sean Testarossa Carla 355 Spider Michael Mondial Andreas 308 Haley 250 GTO R Dan 355 GTB Rick Daytona R Jim Maserati, Viper Travis Murcielago F1 Frank
Is that a serious question? If you've never used red/blue 3D glasses, they cause the illusion of depth. In the case where we are talking about female models shot in 3D, I'll let your imagination figure it out.

Frankie and I will be coming, in our 308....But not racing. My poor little car is 25 years old, and hasn't given me any problems, at all....So, I don't want to piss her off..... Looks like a fantastic selection of Cars! Hopefully, we can finally see the 250 GTO-R!!!! It sure would be nice to see what she'll do on the 1/4 mile!!!!... I am sure that Haley and Chelle are looking forward to that moment, too....
Kewl. That's perfectly fine, we need some cheering. BTW: I have a gift for you. Let's see who really shows up, but the list of entries is promising and oddly enough this might turn out as the most amazing mix of cars so far. One thing is for sure: There is a calendar shot in the making. Probably more than one, that'll be my problem.
Frank (and for others thinking about going), you shouldn't look at this as much as 'drag racing' against the person next to you, rather as an opportunity to accellerate as fast as you'd like to in a straight line. You're not racing the person next to you, they just happen to be in the next lane, but you are racing for your own personal best times (you'll receive time slips for every run), drive as hard or as light as you feel comfortable with. Also, the intent is to try to keep similar/matched cars side by side, so you won't go up against a camaro funny car or a jet fuel dragster in your 308, probably another 308.
Thanks, Sean. Oh yeah, I know. It's just that I don't want to get on my old car too hard and break it.... Right now, it's due for a service, and I don't want to snap a belt, or kill the Clutch. Yes, I'd like to run it sometime to see if I can beat the 1/4 mile time that's listed in the owners manual... But....only after it had been serviced.....AND....(and this is a "huge" "and".... ) After I dropped alot of this extra weight I've been lugging around for the past few years...
For bragging rights we could have a little contest for various things like best reaction time, best 60' time, best 1/4 time, highest trap speed. Richard, here's the website. http://www.chicagolandspeedway.com/cgi-bin/r.cgi/index_rt66.html
