My mechanic friend and I removed the slave cylinder yesterday to replace the rubber ring [thanks Ricambi for having this part in stock!:)]in order to fix a leak, but found that it is difficult to lign up the holes afterwards.
Admitedly, doing this on his back with the car on jacks doesn't allow much room, but are there any tricks of the trade that someone wouldn't mind sharing with me?
    Thanks in advance.

I had no problem doing this on jackstands a couple weeks ago because my lift had the 308 on it. I did remove the left rear wheel and wheel well liner. It makes access a lot easier. Did you do that? Are the two mounting bolts bent a little so they don't line up perfectly with the bracket on the slave cylinder?

I hope you honed the cylinder before replacing the piston. I failed to do that the first time (last summer) and it ate another seal in 1,000 miles.

    P.S. Mondial slave cylinders suck.

    Hi Birdman,
The two bolts aren't bent and mounts without problem. The difficulty is getting the cylinder reattached to the clutch linkage. Just can't line up the holes to push the pin through.
Left the tire on but will now take it off.
    Thanks.

Job is done. The trick is using a screwdriver to leverage the clutch linkage to match up the holes on the plunger.
