Unusual Things You have Done ONE Time Only

Ive shot a professional fireworks show for a carnival. Was pretty damn loud and fun! Plan on doing it all summer. I can only post it now because Ive done it once and in a couple weeks I have another show to shoot.

Drove over an hour and a half just to try Arby's. The people working there were lucky it tasted good.

I blew up a snowman once it was damn hilarious.

Like someone else mentioned earlier in this thread I also got saved by a life gaurd. Crazy thing was when he came out to get me in the riptide he couldnt get out of it either, so they had to get a boat to come and get us.

-Flown in and then actually flew the Goodyear Blimp from waters edge in Oakland out to Treasure Island, around the island, and back again.

-Worked as member of the pit-crew for a team at the 24 Hours of Daytona.

 

survived as a passenger in a stall /spin accident in a Fairchild 24 13 August 1995 spinning straight in from 200 feet.
Surgeon did not know how I survived
Orthopedic surgeon thought I would never again walk.
Good thing they didn't tell me until 6 mos later.

-- Was part of a hand-fired 4th of July firework show many years ago. I loaded shells into the mortars (buried steel tubes) during the show while someone else ran up and down the line lighting the fuses. One of the bigger ones misfired and went off only 15' up. That was LOUD.

-- Played drums in the orchestra for a musical production of Peter Pan by the Dallas Children's Theatre back in the 80s. It was actually a paying gig

 

While my mother was getting a divorce, we decided we wanted to move to a new city. That was Wednesday. Saturday we drove over two hours to a different place and looked at places for rent. We moved there the next Tuesday, and on Thursday I went to a new high school.

Sure beat being homeless and living with my cousin!

Crashed a 99 point 308 before I had my license... Now that's a one timer!!

 

I took half my face off with a 12aug Winchester model 101, walked into the bathroom took a look in the mirror, then waked into the living room and waited for paramedics to show up while I watched t.v.

Spun a Series 5 RX7 (FD) on a mountain road in front of a an oncoming truck. With my wife beside me..
Truck hit the barrier because he had to dodge. While legally, i was not at fault for his accident, and therefore not liable. I paid his damage bill. Nice bloke too.
We shared a Beer.

fishing accident -
severed major artery in the Canadian outback and one hour by boat to phone - air lifted to Toronto for 12 hours of reconstructive surgery to hand. One month prior, feel into glass top table and received 70 stiches total thread count between two instances 155.

hunting accident -
accidentially discharged my 7mm Remington Magnum rifle towards my face causing loss of hearing for one year. It (rifle) was leaning against a fence post, I was sitting on a stool, went to release safety but had heavy winter gloves on and had thumb on trigger. - gun discharged/stupid.

Nailed a concrete barrier at 70mph trying to avoid a deer...

Did that once in my Vette (top off) doing about 60 or so.

 

Once I drove 22 hours straight with only quick stops for gas and bathroom breaks.


Rode around Fiorano in a Ferrari 360 with a factory Ferrari test driver.

 

How did the owner feel about that!
