HOU Ferrari and Exotic Spotters

I'm not sure how much longer it will be there, but there is an MC-12 GT on display in the lobby of the Hyatt downtown along with a Champ car

 

Just this weekend! LOL!

 

Lets see...red Enzo, 2 612's, 430 Challenge, 3 360 Stradale's, 2 328's, about a dozen 355 or 360's, a mondial, and a red 430. Oh yeah, and a dark red 456. Not a bad showing in the Ferrari corral at the Grand Prix, but I'm hoping Saturday will be better. Porsche Club had a White C-GT that was very nice.

 

What the %$@&? Who cares about a CGT? I see... the Volkswagon booth had a Vanagon on the floor too...who gives a flying flip? All those beauties from Italia and you talk about an overgrown bug? By the way, what's with the Boxturd on your profile? Are you in the wrong chat site again? This isn't " I can't afford a real car.com"! Let's leave the Boresche club out of this and pretend that they aren't there...'cause they aren't!

The track looks great, we took the train.... hung out on the east half....good fence viewing at MANY locations....sorry we didn't walk over to the Ferrari tent.....

Worl'ds Fastest Art Car spotted....Allen Parkway headed to Downtown, around 1PM.....

 

i saw all those too! But the white Porsche GT1 stole the show for me. Ill post my pics tomorrow...

 

I'm assuming the only white C-GT in Houston, I saw it last night on my way home from the Le Mans. Very cool. I think he dropped the clutch a little hard a few times, but it's his car and it's bad ass, so whatever.

Saw a Maserati in the lot last night, other than that nothing special. Except for the Astons around the Aston area, but that doesn't count.

The F430GT was freaking pimp! So was everything else, well the Saleen didn't really do anything for me.

 

Forgot, saw a dark red (corsa rossa???) 456 on the Kirby on the way to the races.

 

I caught a quick view it yesteday on W. Alabama. I could not tell what it was, other than a "maroonish" colored Fcar. I have seen it before in the area.

 

Yellow Gallardo at 610 and Woodway this morning at 8AM.

 

White Mercielago yesterday at PF Changs in Highland Village

 

610 & San felipe

 

Not a red, not a silver, but a BLUE 360 B. on Waugh and Allen Prkwy.

 

Yellow 355 on Westheimer aroud the loop. He got smoked by a Honda Civic. And the guy in the 355 was the one who initiated the match. Embarassing.

 

I would have killed to have seen that

 

If you're going to race in that area with that traffic you deserve to get beat.

I just don't understand guys who need to boost the testosterone level by antagonizing others until they will race.

When you own an Fcar you don't need to race; you're driving one of the world's exotics and the other guy isn't.
Enough said.

 

black 360 coupe across from the old Sipangos. Yellow 360 coupe southbound on 35 near mocking bird. I passed by the owner of the black 360 while I was driving the 250 Cab but I don't think he realized it was a Ferrari.

 

Very well said. While this may be hypocritical for some of us old farts to say, street racing today is unacceptable. Personally, I belive that anybody street racing should be thrown in jail for at least 24 hours.

I agree. I have a Scion XB and people try to race me all the time. My car has 100hp, I couldnt out run and '86 Corolla. Its pointless anyways.

 

I experience that all the time. I've been in my black 400i at the exact same place, at the same time, where others have "spotted" an Fcar yet my car has never been spotted here.

Just goes to show you what I've always believed about the elegance of the 365/400 bodystyle; they don't scream Ferrari, they whisper it in a refined manner.

 

It also shows that a lot of the the "Modena Guys" as I call them don't know anything about the history of the Ferrari marquee. No offense intended to anybody that owns a Modena. BTW, I accidently posted this in Houston instead of DFW, sorry, I will get back to my own city now.

 

Surprisingly... saw a new black Phantom (paper plates) at Grand Lux Sat night. The surprise was when a young asian (20's) and his girlfriend got in it and took off. It threw everyone off because people were taking pictures next to it, talking about it while waiting to be seated.. and this young couple had been sitting there the whole time listening. LOL. He was Philipino and she was white. Maybe someone knows him here?

Oh, he had black wheels on the car.

 

Yellow Gallardo passed by Diedrichs Coffee shop last night twice, as well as a yellow Modena. Then black F430 on Westeimer pulled up at a stop light.

Last week I saw a yellow Modena with black wheels, chrome lip on 610.

 

Probably that guy Daniello, owns a software company but involved in other shady activities

On another note, I saw a white 360 spyder at Touch on Sat night.....met the owner of that one before....

Also a silver CGT on Westheimer and River Oaks on Sat as well.....would love to go for a ride in that thing
