Indeed, but he was also "famous" on L-Power (who wouldn't with 2 GTRs?!), whereas he pretty much came out of the blue on FChat.
If some people like the feel of L-Power, good for them, really, but not for me.

I had this thread reopened to see Blindly Delusional Syncophants in action, and I was not disappointed.

In case you missed it - the oh, so disappointed in F-Chat Enzo Owner had previously announced on L-P he hated F-C, and in so many words, was going to out-troll Ellen - whose own ineffective Declaration of War on F-Cars, F-Chat and F-Chatters is no secret.

That is where the Bull**** Meter fuse blows.

Saw another straw man argument which alluded that, where "dancing donkey" is used here by trolls such as Ellen and his ilk and certainly in cow country, "cringing cow" is brandished in the same manner by others. Not quite. As thread counts go on F-Chat, usage of said terms ratio is 12:1. I prefer the term "****ting Bull" myself, as it describes Ellen perfectly.

Fact of the matter is, if one does not kiss at the very least, Ellen's ass, one is ostracized from L-P. What you L-P boys do with each other behind closed doors is your own business, and I don't want any part of it. *shudder*

I have not been a member here for long but I can tell you I'm not impressed by the ranting that goes on at either board but it is all in good fun. I am an avid member of L-power and love the site. The reason Allan speaks so highly of your 308's and 348's and 355's is because he has owned them and deemed them to be pieces of crap. Thats his opinion and he's entiled to it. The fact that I had my black Gallardo at the scottsdale drive-in event a few weeks ago and one of your members said.......and I quote: " You see one balck gallardo you seen them all" just goes to show the ingnorance this site. Lets not forget there were only 2 lambos at that event and how many F-cars???? Only 3,300 or so G cars made EVER for all model years in the world but how many 308's, 328's, 348's, 355's 360's are there out there. Come on lets get real here. I saw the post and did not respond to the comment until now cause who ever that was has his head shoved so far up his ass all you can see is his shoulders. Allan is always going to be Allan, yes he can be an arrogant prick when he wants to be and flap his mouth off, he does that well. What you don't realize is that he is a true owner/enthusiast and has complimented the F-430 and the Enzo on more than one occasion, but no one mentions that on here about him. So does he hate ALL F-cars. I don't think so. I see and talk to him on a daily basis pretty much and he his a good dude. He sure loves to get a rise out of all your guys that for sure and if anyone was trying to to pull anything over on him with the J. Martz thing going on, all I can say is he's been doing that to you guys for longer than I've been around.

 

There's no real mystery here. Ferrarichat is the best forum for Ferrari owners and L-Power is the best forum for Lamborghini owners. Expecting to find love amongst a group of enthusiasts for a different brand to your own is expecting too much.

Those of us who like both brands (we just like fast cars, period) simply ignore the ranting and find the information we are looking for amongst all the noise - and are happy.

I agree with the L/P guys on this debate. You need to have a thick skin if your going to go to LP and have a screen name like "Ferrariguy", the site is funny, informative, lots of active owners and non owners like myself (integrate) post many car shows and articles I have read. I also met some cool Lambo owners like L-DIABLO on the site and have at times along with most people disagreed with mr allan lambo. I.e. I still dont like those wings on Murcis. But it is definitely a young money and trendy site that will step on toes in fun

 

I like how Ellen constantly refers to Ferraris as old mans cars when he is driving the epitome of an old mans car a "Bentley". It comes factory with a compartment in the back seat to store used Depends undergarments.

Yeah Ellen is really hip and with it and his opinions are right on about Ferraris. LOL

 

Yes they are actually, he lets you know which ones he thinks are pieces or crap and which ones he likes. Funny how you guys banned him but yet your still talking about him. I don't hold opinions of f-car owners or lambo owners or any exotic car owner for that matter but you guys are sure giving me a good look of what F-car owners are like.

As previously stated, what L-P boys (and girls) do behind closed doors is their own business.

Whether they share an office or bodily fluids is no business of mine. However, it came as no surprise the IP's matched.

Looks like a duck, walks like a duck, quacks like a duck = IP Search = No surprise = ban.

For the uninformed, Ellen's been trolling F-Chat with anti-Ferrari vitriol since arrival oh, so many years ago.

I don't frequent this site enuff to know if you've been a mod for very long - BUT - trying to match IP addresses CAN and WILL backfire on you!!!!
At one site (some readers here know where), about a year ago, two new mods were trying to weed out some posers and didn't know about AOL apparently assigning many users the same IP address (I don't know much about this but older mods do) and in their eagerness and meaning well, these two questioned why I was "apparently" over 100 members - and I was even banned for it -what was sorta funny was that some of those IP's belonged to other prominent posters and if I was really ALL of those aliases - then about half of ALL of the posts on that site would have come from lil'old ME!! Old one fingered typing me woulda been on-line almost 24/7!!!
So ya might wanna make sure in OTHER ways besides IP addresses -

and by the way -

they really ARE two different people -
you really REALLY need to do your homework before you go on a power trip and play god with the ban button -
with the POWER of a mod, SHOULD go some maturity and RESPONSIBILITY!!

Making fun of people because of the car they drive is never acceptable. No matter what forum. Especially when used in the context of inferiority. Mocking someone (friendly, of course) because they bought a Gallardo instead of a 360 or vice versa is alright. Making fun of someone because they can 'only afford' a 308 or Mondial or whatever is NEVER ok.

It is EXTREMELY rare that someone's first sports car will be something like an F430 or Murcielago; naturally, they have to climb the ladder as they grow older and wealthier. I would wager that 98% of Ferrari and/or Lamborghini owners have done this, it's only natural. Hey, my dad owned a 308, then 328, 348, F355, 360, and now he's on the list for an F430 Spider; it's simply evolution. The guys that some of y'all, including Allan, make fun of for owning these cars are simply climbing a ladder of their own.

Even if someone was unable to fully climb that ladder, even if they stopped short of their dream of owning an F40 at a 308, let them enjoy it. It is their car, it is their fun to have. Just because someone is not as wealthy as you does not make them any less of a person.

Why is it considered okay for people to say “Well, he just owned a 308” or something similar? Why is it okay for people to put down people because their 328 is not still a straight-line rocket? The logic has failed to reach me. For this reason, I do not like Allan, nor do I believe he should be allowed to join us on the Ferrarichat boards. He can bash Ferrari all he wants; that’s fine with me. When he gets into his “Why are you even arguing with me, you only own a Mondial!” mode, bye-bye, Mr. Fiedler.

 

Agreed. A car guy is a car guy and I don't care if your passion is a Borgward Isabella or a Checker Marathon I've got no right to put it down and anyone with the slightest modicum of class knows that. I suppose that is why Ellen does it. He is devoid of class. Another internet tough guy.

 

See guys, I think the problem as I see it..Ferrari and Lamborghini owners are not "car enthusiast" they are "Lamborghini or Ferrari "enthusiast...I like Lamborghini and Ferrari everything else is just a just a car..and because in my mind there are only 2 car companies..i pick lamborghini...

 

After reading this, I vow not to engage in anymore Allan bashing, or falling for his provoking malicious traps or (so-called) debates.
