I have a 1980 308 and my water temp gauge is going bad, Does anyone know if I can get it rebuilt, or should I buy a new one. How much do you think they cost.

Palo Alto Speedometer will repair it, are you sure it's not the sending unit on the engine. New senders should be calibrated to gauage which means sending both to Palo Alto Speedo.

They said 3 to 4 weeks and around $200.00.

I'm waiting for a couple of parts guys to call me back with new ones and make a decision. Thanks for the help,
    Kelly

If you have to send it out leave the old sender in the engine and send the guage and new sender, this way you can drive the car.

I still would think it is sender as guages hold up well.
