just out of curiosity, what is your favorite porsche 996 model?
I covered most of the major models but not all, and I left out the GT1 on purpose

Base your decision on looks, performance, whatever you want. I picked the 4S

I voted GT3RS, but it was really close between that and the GT2. With the RS's rawer configuration finally winning out for me. However, the brutal nature of the GT2 can't be ignored!

I voted for the base Carrera because their prices keep falling and I'm going to snap one up, hopefully soon.

The GT3 RS, you can never get tired of looking at one!

I take it we're only talking about factory 996's? Otherwise I'd take a RUF!

GT2 - Will kill you. Too much for the street, as well. Very low and very rough. From what I have been told, anyway.
Turbo - Fast, but too soft, heavy, dislike AWD, and I prefer NA power delivery. Had one, don't want another.

GT3 for me. RS would probably be TOO hardcore, while regular GT3 is edgy, but not so purposeful it makes NO sense for the street. Slab-sided 996 shape, though is a tad boring. Needs the turbo's hips.

But I really prefer mid-engined RWD, so I don't have any of the above, but instead went the RUF boxster route. :D To each their own.
