Two tone paint on 599

I already got a request from a future 599-owner to think of a two tone design.
I wanted to start a thread about it, but luckily there already was one started by you!
It's nice to contribute something this way to help you out!

I don't know the names of the colours, because I just made these up.
I would love to give some more advise if you get the real Ferrari-colours to choose from.

I agree again.
The interior should complement the exterior.
The colours can go along with the bodycolours, even when you choose the Daytona seats.
What about a beige metallic body with polished aluminum roofbars combined with a tan interior with lightgrey piping?

If there are more future 599-owners who got inspired by this thread and going to choose a two-tone paintjob, I'd love to know about it and maybe give some more advise.
It would be nice if any of our designs will be produced.

Although I think the 599 is better suited monotone, I would consider red body with silver or tintanium roof and bonnet possibly rear deck with a matching silver interior. Wheel centers also red.

Michele, this is exactly what I would do to that 4 door 612 you did on the digital thread.

 

heres some with lowering the colour to the small vent aft of the front wheel. I like how it emphasises the forward wing.
The read fender intrudes into a bit tho...

But how will the lines end up at the rear?

 

I think it is only a matter of time before some 599 will be in twotone livery. The special roof seems very suited to be highlighted from the rest of the body with a different color.

 

Leave it to the Germans. I remember years ago, in the early 1980's, they started a tuning style of monchromatic coloring. Wheels, grill, former chrome, all became body colored. If done well, it was very dramatic.

Early last year, some special BMW 650 tuner cars were introduced, one used a black and yellow two tone theme. You just knew then that two tone would be the next fad.

I wonder what could be next? How about redline or blueline tires like in the 60's?

 

...maybe wrap around the rear deck, the lights and the trunk line.

Too bad that horizontal panel line behind the rear wheel doesnt line up with the visual line drawn from bottom of the forward vent... the seam forward of the front wheel does... strange... i guess the construction of the rear fascia dictated that.

Ferrari doesnt seem to make "side models" of their flagship - except for limited run spiders - but i couldnt resist trying a Stradale stripe treatment for the 599... just foolin around with an quick idea...

Sick...! Make the wheels the same color as the body and give the car some three-tone calipers to match the Stradale stripe and that car could be some sort of official pace car...!

I would say black with silver top or silver with black top. From what I've seen in this topic that's the only way to go for me.

Can you show the complete car in this grey color?

I am not really good at photoshop but I would really like to see the top pillars painted one color as shown earlier, the body painted another, and the roof painted a thrid color but that color also is painted across the "nose" of the car excentuating the formula 1 styled front hood nose. I wonder what that would look like.

Grant your idea sounds a little "busy"... perhaps more suited for a race-series car or something, but i'll give it a go... maybe with the roof and nose a tint or shade of the body colour...
