I attended today Simon Kidston's Lamborghini Miura 40th Anniversary Tour which started today at Gstaad's luxury Hotel Bellevue (Switzerland). Fifteen Miuras from all over the world (Switzerland, France, Italy, Iran, England, etc.) were there and will be driven tomorrow Thursday morning over Martigny, the Gran San Bernard to Chamonix, then over the passes (remember the movie "The Italian Job"??) to Monaco/Monte Carlo. The cars will be parked in front of the legendary Casino in Monaco over this coming weekend (there is also the Monaco historic GP plus all the auctions, Coys, Bonhams, etc.). Here are a few photographs.

Tomorrow and Friday I will be following the Miuras to Monaco. A team from OCTANE magazine is also here in Gstaad and the Miuras will soon be pictured on their cover.

Photos 5 to 8 in post #1 show the ex-HIH Shah Reza Pahlavi Miura SVJ, chassis #4934, now owned by Iranian enthusiast Reza Rashidian (albeit using UK license plates "APP 462 J"). A second Miura from Iran at this meeting is Miura S "Millechiodi" (thousand nails) chassis #4302 owned by Iranian banker Darius Fouladi.

Thanks! I thought this info was interesting since I come from Iran (raised in Sweden and live here now) and would never think that there existed a lamborghini, nonetheless a miura in Iran.

Did this maroon Miura (APP 462J) belong to Shah of Iran ? It has got just different front spoiler , but very similar side air intakes and white interior !

Yes. It's the ex-Shah Reza Pahlavi SVJ. Read post #6. Now owned by Reza Rashidian, an Iranian in London.

Ahh yes, Piet Pulford's Jota Replica. Built with no expense spared to exceptional levels. I spent a nice day in Piets company at Syon Park once. I photographed his previous lime green Muira and he said it was the best photograph he had ever seen of it. Needless to say he bought the photo off me.

Nice pictures Marcel, thanks for sharing

Thank you very much for posting these pictures. Looks like the Monza has come out very nice. Can you give some comments on its condition? Seems like most of the Miura's are SV's.

    Wow.

Marcel, you're so lucky to live there and to be a part of this. Thanks so much for sharing the pictures with us.

Wonder how many drivers coming in the other direction will go off the road when they see that convoy!

Yes, most Miuras attending today's tour are SVs.
Monza has been refurbished, looks pretty clean, certainly a highly unusual car, a true one-off built by Neri & Bonacini (Nembo) in Modena. Owner is very proud and happy, talked to him this morning.
