I finally got around to making a web site to hold my track videos. Here is some footage from the last event we had at Homestead.

Random notes: The GT3 is driven by a young pro. He is the driver of the Ford GT that passes me in the Ferrari video. The Ford Gt has 150 extra HP. The Carrera GT is driven by a friend. It was his and my first time at this track. I am not new to racing so you can't judge the speeds of the cars from this video. I was behind the GT3 in that video. You see me come by when he spins. I was getting caught out by the traffic being third in line though. The Carrera GT has amazing track potential considering the tires it has to run. Porsche really screwwed up with the 20 inch rears. No way to get anything soft. The Ferrari steel brakes are plenty. The pads suck. At 2000 miles with 2 track days I literally had the front backing plates against the rotors and had to have the car towwed in for new pads. I was calling for a double downshift entering the last corner before the back straight (Ferrari). The car did not agree so I only got one. That's why you hear me have to downshift after the corner a few times. The Ferrari apears bulletproof at the track aside from the crappy brake pads. Exotic cars are inherently slower at the track because there is always a line of people waiting to passenger so you always run 150-200LBS heavy;). Enough of my rambling.

    Here's the Videos:
Ferrari F430: Right Click - Save as
Carrera GT: Right Click - Save As
Porsche GT3: Right Click - Save As
Sorry, the Carrera GT video is a MPEG so you need a MPEG decoder for it.

    Is the CGT stock?
It sounds so different from the inside. I've only heard it on the road... and everytime I do it reminds of a wailing banshee when driving off... and like a chainsaw when downshifting.
Cool vids, though. Thanks for sharing!

Could someone please let me know which particular codec is required for this video? I guess I don't look at enough internet porn these days too keep current :)

Wow, excellent video footage of your F430 on the track
May I ask if you have done any mods to your F430?
Did you change modify the exhaust, cos it sounds GREAT! Or did it appear louder because it is not a coupe.

David_S, MPEG decoder would be in any software DVD player. I thing Divx probably has one if you want a free one with out a bunch of extra junk. (divx.com)

Avantgarde, the 430 is stock. Top down. Going to Sebring this weekend. Going to try and make the sound even better.

If you have Cyberlink Power DVD software with your computer for playing DVDs you can change it from playing on insertion of a dvd disc to playing from file mode. This should then have the codec to allow you to view the CGT vid. That's how I viewed it on an old PII machine. Now going to view the other two.

    Cheers

Wow, the stock system sound fabulous already!

I am curious, have you considered what exhaust options will you be installing to make it sound even better?

Does anyone have comments about the Tubi GTC exhaust for the F430?
