I know the topic has been covered previously, but I wanted to go ahead and post again for the archives.
After much squinting through the 308's dash glare, I finally ordered a dashmat from:
    http://www.global-accessories.com/dashmat/index.html
GEEZ, what a world of difference! There is now NO glare at all!! I also just placed the mat on the dash, didn't secure it with the supplied velcro and took it for a spirited drive to work this monting with the windows down at 80-90 and it didn't budge an inch. Well worth the price.
Didn't post pics, not much to see-a black dashmat on a black dash....

Good deal... I actually have one for my GT4 that came with the car. One of the previous owners ordered it years ago from FoA. Like yours, it's not "attached" - just sits there. It's the first time I've ever owned a dashmat or driven a car with one, and I must say that I do enjoy having it!

    Not bad...not bad....

    the plain DashMat.
odd, I just searched and got "Sorry, there are no Dash Covers available for a 1986 FERRARI", but searching for an '87 comes up;must be a glitch in their system.
Same here. I also ordered one for my '84 Ranger 4x4 and its also just slightly off, but it looks a hellofa' lot better as the dash had split and turned black. BIG improvement with the tan dashmat in the tan interior, dresses it up too.

Just got one for my 88 328 last week. Fit is good with all the vent holes lining up. Will need to use some of the velcro, as the mat does move a little when taking those on/off ramps at speed.

Have one in my '87 328. Not thrilled with the look, but it does solve the glare problem and the dash looks like new underneath.

Mine had a velcro square just right of the instrument hood, but it made a sticky mess and I ended up removing it. Still looking for a good way to prevent it from sliding slightly out of position during fast starts.

I believe MikeC said that he was able to lift out the AC vents, put the dashmat in position then snap the vents back in to hold the mat in position. This was on a 308, don't know if it can be done with a 328.

I just ordered a suede mat for my 348 from www.automatstogo.com for around $55. I'll let you know how it fits when it arrives.

Yep, gives it a much better look and holds it in place. Only the circular vents are pop-out removable... the oblong ones are screwed in from underneath.

That might be the way to go, as I'm a little reluctant to attach the velcro strips to the dash with that double-stick tape. How difficult is it to pop out the round vents??

I ordered one since we do a lot of video on our group drives and the glare from the 308 dash is terrible. I'll post a pic when I get it. I'm sure it won't be pretty, but our videos will be much improved.

Not difficult at all... it's just a little trickier getting them back in because you have to compress the spring wires on the sides.

    Here's a picture of a dashmat for a GT4 that i ran across a few weeks ago.

Take note of the VERY COOL speaker treatment on the door panels.

(PS: If this is your car I apologize, and hope you consider my rash exploitation of the image of your vehicle, with the upmost sense of pride)

It may look cool, but using those few perforations in the leather over the speaker will really muffle the sound quality.

    BigAl,

Yeah, I don't know what it's made of either. But it looks like it might simply be a piece of black foam, with a fabric layer on the visible side.

IMO, dashmats generally look terrible anyway. And this one is so simple in design, that it just looks incredibley plain. However, there is a certain beauty in simplicity.

And if it is thick foam, then there's a fair chance that it is heavy enough not to move when the windows are rolled down.

    Mike C.,

Yes, you're probably right. Sound quality would probably suffer some. But then again, I'm not so sure how much of a difference great audio fidelity makes in a GT4 anyway. The cars are pretty loud to begin with.

But I still think it looks cool. And if I really had to have great audio, I'd probably put more speakers in it somewhere else anyway, which would probably make-up for the muffled door speakers.

If I had that on my door, I certainly wouldn't change it for the sake of sound. But that's just me.

    Here's a closer picture. BTW: It's on a 208, not a 308
