    Jeff, I have been using GOLDSMITH Jewelers, 575 W.Pike ST, Lawrenceville,since 1986. David Mell is the owner and we have become good friends over the years. They have done excellent work , especially recently on setting diamonds.

    I have used Tara Jewelery in Buford (Buford Hwy & hwy 20) for years. Alot of the Falcons players go there as well. Ask for Buddy or Eddie

    I have a ring from my mother with a few very nice sparklies. They're in a "cocktail" setting now. I want to use them when I pop the big Q to my sweety. Didn't mention Diamonds but that's a pretty good assumption.

    I really don't want to come across as negative, or raining on your parade, but I do know someone who made an engagement/wedding ring out of an heirloom ring. He now regrets it as the judge gave it to her. Rumor has it she pawned it and didn't tell him where. If the memory of the ring is precious to you, I'd ask for an upfront agreement that the new ring stays in your family if something should happen to you, or your relationship.

    Not an heirloom, just some nice rocks that ma used on her nights out on the town and was special to her. The heirloom she had from my dad's side of the family was stolen by her houskeeper before she passed.
