This week I've had two flat tires. I've been lucky that the tires went flat in my garage so I wasn't stranded somewhere. I'll be ordering another 430 soon and I'm thinking about the run flat option. After using the Search function here it seems most owners are against the run flat tires on a Ferrari but no one has actually ordered the tires. So to revisit this topic... are there any 430 owners with run flat tires on their car?

I am close to ordering my 430 spider and I would definately order the run flat option. I will not track my car.

I ordered run flats for everyday driving (peace of mind), don't need the last iota of performance on the street

For the track, if pushing it (I won't) I would get another set of wheels (for more peace of mind).

Utkarsh is correct, most of the dealers I spoke to the in the tri state area suggest getting run flats. Personally im all about performance and would never put them on my car.

IMO Don't get them. They add weight, ride hard and will affect handling.

Why are the dealer's pushing the runflats? Do they offer free towing in the event of a flat that they are trying to avoid?

Or is it just a convenience/safety thing?

New Cars do come with roadside assistance as part of the warrantee and any option is $ to the dealer, not saying that's why some recommend it. The problem IMO is that if you hit a pot hole and have a big wheel odds are you're going to have a flat that will go down right away. Nails in a radial tire usually take much longer to leak down.
