FOW can probably get you both the UFI filters and the Helix.

Original spec was UFI and Agip.

    Check http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=64460

Try Fchat's search engine ("search" on the upper menu) to get more than you ever wanted to know about engine oil. Helix generally isn't worth the hassle and mark-up in the US. Ferrari of Washington can probably score some Agip for you, or you could google for a source.

I responded to this on another thread. After sufering from poor shifting and lose of HP I was convinced to use BG Ultraguard and WOW what difference. It is a little expensive, around 19.00 a quart. Even though the Shell recomended fluid came out looking unused and no debris on the pick up magnet appearently it can gum up the syncronizers.

Many of us use Mobil 1 0w-40 instead, much cheaper, high in quality and easier to find. Use either the UFI or Baldwin oil filter...and NOT the Fram...which has quality control problems.

The plate riveted to the front of my 575M's radiator states that Ferrari recommends Shell Helix 5W-40. At nearly $20/qt I think it's ridiculous! I went with Red Line 5W-40 (http://www.redlineoil.com/) and can not tell the difference. Red Line is less than 1/2 the price, too.
