    hello everyone,

I know i dont really post everywhere in the website, and i wish i can get to meet all of yall, but i really appreciate if any of you can take the time out for a special prayer for a friend of mine, Daniel Gutierrez.

He's just graduated from a private school that i also go to...Daniel was diagonsed with stomach cancer since last year, he's only 18, and through out his senior year he has been in and out of the hospital. Before being diagnosed, Daniel was a great athlete, muscular guy, energetic, but after he lost so much weight he could barely walk, its sad for any of us to see him in the hospital.

Throughout the year he would show so much strength and show up to school, even for at least once in a month, he would be in his wheelchair and they had a big ole' absent slip that everyone signed for him...he surprized everyone by showing up to the football games on the sidelines with his nurse by his side, and his strength was shown when he showed up to our prom, he won king....everyone was happy for him and so was himself....

Last saturday, the 14th, the school went to the hospital and surprised daniel with his diploma and they had a graduation ceremony for him, and everyone was there...he was in his cap and gown with his diploma...the doctors said he would not have more than a week to live, that is why they had this ceremony...

This past wed, the 24th even though he went to the emergency twice that day, Daniel walked the stage with his class, he was able to graduate in front of the auditorium audience of his friends, classmates, and our school is like a family...you should have seen the look on his face the happiness....

Daniel is slowly passing along with god, his stregnth is so inspirring, for any of us to appreicate what we have in our lives, i am able to appreciate every single day i have...

I would just like for your prayers if possible for daniel, his family, and his friends....

Thank you so much guys for the time of sharing the life of an unbelieveable person....

    John

    Hi John,

It sounds like Daniel has a true fighting spirit in him. I lost my Gran two days ago and it is deeply upsetting but she gave it her bestand always went out her way to please others. I was with her at the time she passed away and I hadnt been in that situation before but it meant so much just to hold her hand as she slipped away peacefully. I'm finding it pretty hard at the moment dealing with it but at least I know i was there for her as I'm sure you have been for you're good friend.

My thoughts and prayers are with him.

    Keep in touch

    Matthew

    God speed to Daniel.

    Sorry for you loss John.

Used this song in a funeral recently and I think that these lyrics seem appropriate.

    I've heard it said
That people come into our lives for a reason
    Bringing something we must learn
    And we are led
To those who help us most to grow
    If we let them
And we help them in return
    Well, I don't know if I believe that's true
But I know I'm who I am today
    Because I knew you:

Like a comet pulled from orbit
    As it passes a sun
Like a stream that meets a boulder
    Halfway through the wood
Who can say if I've been changed for the better?
    But because I knew you
I have been changed for good
