Nothing to add to this thread, but I noticed every sentence in this post ends with an exclamation mark. I found that mildly amusing. :D

Tru dat LMP, I agree totally, there is no use getting a pumped up and being asses to each other, for all we know it could be wrong, and if his friend is correct, you should all be ashamed, as I said before there is no reason to lie about such things.

What i have posted is form my friends, and everythign that I hear from them I relay it to you all to read, if you believe it or not, I have posted it on here for the purpose for letting you all know what my friends have told me, which are in Italy.I have just got the new Road & Track magazine and I' reading the article about the New Ferrari supercar as we speak. Wg=hat is clear to me is that most people only hear what they want to hear, I have countless times told everyone on here that it is either rumored to be, or that my friend in the Italian Auto Press have relayed it to me as being what they have seen for themselves. Countless people have recently come on here and have stated that this car is well on it's way, as I have, as well as stated that the car will not chase the Veyron in top speed, or horsepower as I did before, it has been reported on several websites of it having more horsepower then the FXX, and it is still being proven to be the best road-going Ferrari ever made! Everything I have stated is being proven as we speak, the only thing that isn't crystal clear is weither Ferrari will continue with the rear-wheel drive, or switch to the rear-wheel bias 4 wheel drive system! To state that what I hear is fake is to claim that you have the answers in front of you, buy the Road & track and read the article and there are your answers in front of you in black and white form a source outside of the sources I have!

I see that now, and like I said, I bring to them the news that is given to me by my sources! Everyone can believei t or not, but I have given them the same news that people are reporting now! Ferrari is never going to be a (ME TOO BRAND), so why chase the Veyron that is selling well, but will not turn a profit. Ferrari, hs gotten it right in the supercar business since the beginning, just as Porsche has, that is why they are the only 2 to have never been in position of being sold or bought by other companies, they stand alone with great financial help, such as the Angelli owned FIAT group, as the same with Porsche being owned by the Piech/ Porsche family! Other companies have trouble staying afloat such is the case with Lamborghini, Bugatti to name a few! Look at there histories Bugatti was the most revered French luxury car brand in the world, yet closed after WW2 with the passing of Ettore Bugatti, then was closed for decades until Romano Artioli bought the brand and resurrected it in Italy in the early 90's, only to have it close again, then in 1998 be bought by VAG! Lmborghini was the saem thing, a great start to the company, but with falling economies around the world was forced to sale to Chrysler group in the late 80's, then was sold to a Malaylian Consortium, before being bought in 1998 by Audi/ VAG! Some companies havre staying power while others fall under the pressure, Ferrari was sold on the terms that Enzo Ferrari would get to continue on as the head of the race team, that not saling out ot a larger company as long as you still have a stake in the company, like Enzo's son Piero still owns a stake in the company as well as a large percentage of the voting stocks!

If he can post speculation, i can post i don't beleive it. Not only can i back it up but i showed him how he contradicts himself yet continues to deny it. This thread is pretty much usless, it is like talking to a brick. End of Conversation.

Ok, first don't call anyone a tool, its ok to disagree, but when you call someone a name its just disrespect, this I believe is supposed to be a community, sure its over the internet, but no one wants to come in and see someone argue about something. Secondly no offense fastback, but Leon has much more posts than you and me too, so I think he would have a somewhat greater presence than you or I. Even though i do add about 3 posts a day.

Sorry to stray off topics a bit but... as far as I remember the Veyron was never intended to bring in profit ;) It was a marque revival scheme?

Exactly, other people will argue that! finally someone that see's and knows what Im talking about! Ferrari's F60 will not chase them and will turn a profit from day one, and why? Because Ferrari is in a comfortable market with a low volume supercar, like there F40, F50, Enzo, and the soon to be released F60! Ferrari, doesn't do "ME TOO" cars, they stand out in a market because they are secure with there market place and will sell the exclusive cars without a problem! My scanner won't allow me to post the pictures yet, of the Road & Track article, but as soon as I can I will do just that for all to read.

Dont want to appear "name dropper" but - I really do have a friend at Ferrari -and there is no F60 in sight!!
They have yet to agree on basic platform issues, specs, etc., and Pininfarina has not as yet been advised or asked to work on ANYTHING! So keep dreaming.

makes sense, seeing the FXX program is used as a development programme.

    i think that's a good thing.
means the next super ferrari will be concentrating on low weight, top technology and a power output the car (and its potential drivers) can handle and enjoy.

and that being said, this thread doesn't make much sense...
those that are talking don't know, and those who know won't talk.
    only time will tell!

Well other than the R&T, those seem to be very contradicting of each other. My question is, is how high up is your friend in Ferrari, and is he in management or factory, simply put what is his job status?

See, thats the whole point - maybe he, knowing that you're a type of person that might shoot to fchat with info like that straighaway (no disrespect intended!!), wouldn't tell you the correct info? Also depends how close a freind he is...

PS Pls dont take my post as an insult to any of you 2.

the new ferrari super car should be the fxx. It should be street legal. With cars like the Veyron theres no need to have a track only car.

I'd have to think that with the new R&T, that some value does come out of it. Remember everything other than official press releases is speculation. With this new article somewhat giving out a platform does confirm some things. I wouldn't think the R&T is a third hand source, but a second hand one. Idk just my opinion.

No offense taken. However, I will say that the individual with whom I am acquainted is sufficiently close enough to be authoritative as to the status of most projects.
Again, the F60 is not on the agenda. What is, however,is the smaller Ferrari, for what's that worth!

Well everyone, I have finally been able to scan the picture from the Road & Track article, which I will happily post here now! As for the news that the Ferrari F60 isn't on the agenda right now, I don't believe that at all, It would make very little sense for Ferrari's General Manager Amedeo Felisa to state in Road & Track that 90% of the car will be evolved from there FXX, thats statement alone speaks volumes about the project itself!

Nobody is saying there wont be an F60. The question is when.
Felisa's statement is in fact an admission that they are in data gathering mode as they will undoubtadly continue to be until they are ready to define the car's layout and characteristics, Which to date has not been completed. FYI - it takes approximately 3 years to fully develop a car of this magnitude, once all the parameters have been determined, and the design request initiated.
