Freedom - by a guy who's having quite a bit of trouble behind the wheel right now. LOL The video to that song is one of the best ever.

Maybe it's all the stick time in the air, or maybe it's that old Imperial I had that could cruise at 90 on the interstate and feel like you were in your living room, but to me: speed is boring.

Turns, on the other hand ... Now that's fun.

And all the music you need for that is "ode to forza" by D. Ferrari Mill. ;)

(The Alpine CD player that was in my 328 when I bought it broke three years ago on the MA pothole festival (where it tossed a CD right out of the unit on one bump). It was nearly a year before I noticed that it wasn't accepting CD-Rs anymore. Someday I might look into a vibration-resistant solid state MP3 player (flash memory). Maybe.)

But for "kickin' it" in the EVO, there's "Rise" by Yoko Kanno/Origa.
(Yes, it's anime soundtrack, but isn't that appropriate for a ricer? :p)
(Besides; Origa has an impressive voice, and I like the lyrics (once you translate the russian parts).)

I know I face a sophisticated crowd here, but nonetheless two 'classic' car songs of my generation (generation MySpace) are:

    1) Get Your Roll On - Big Tymers

    2) Ridin Spinners - 3 6 Mafia

NAILED IT ! How could it NOT be Born to Be Wild ...

    Get your motor runnin'
    Head out on the highway
    Lookin' for adventure
    And whatever comes our way
Yeah Darlin' go make it happen
Take the world in a love embrace
Fire all of your guns at once
    And explode into space

    I like smoke and lightning
    Heavy metal thunder
    Racin' with the wind
And the feelin' that I'm under
Yeah Darlin' go make it happen
Take the world in a love embrace
Fire all of your guns at once
    And explode into space

    Like a true nature's child
We were born, born to be wild
    We can climb so high
    I never wanna die

    Born to be wild
    Born to be wild

AS a child of the 80's I would say driving songs ... in no particular order...
    Make fun if you must:

    Journey - Dont stop beileveing

Rolling Stones - Sympanthy for the Devil

    Tom Petty - Free falling

Modern English - I'll melt with you

Duran Duran - Rio & Hungry like the wolf

    Blondie - Call me

Rolling Stones - jumpin jack flash - if you have ever seen Night shift.. you know what I'm talkin about.

    Aria from Pucchini's La Traviatta

Here comes the sun - Beatles - very good song in the morning before a track meet! - soothing and mixes well with the burble of the car..

Siagon Kick - I have seen

Any Sammy Hagar Van Halen - Loud and late at night!

That is the must have for driving in the car according to me.

    Tom

Great song for driving fast on a rainy night:
    B-52's - Planet Claire

Actually, the next 3 songs on the album are pretty good driving songs also:
    52 Girls
    Dance This Mess Around
    Rock Lobster

Listen to 'em loud and fast! :) Pretty cool.

Music is awesome and the lyrics fit the Ferrari:

    I wasn't built for comfort
