Yes, and i plan to :)
You a hater Tim...you a hater. lol Apple MacBook Pro has been awesome for me, and I use this thing CONSTANTLY!
Should have gptten an apple! You and all your nice electronics. Does this mean your getting a new camera too so i can have your old one lol.
Only 14" monitor?!?! C'mon, at least get 15", lol. Dell makes very good stuff. You'll really enjoy all that ram. I only have 256mb in my 3 year old Dell, it's terrible I can barely view the Crystal Cove threads. I usually have to close all my applications to see it
14.1 was the only option for monitor size Also, for everyone telling me to get an apple, my college said i had to get a dell
Macbooks seem to run hot I mean the manual admits it they recommend using it on a table and not your lap! Also heard of some paint issues with the black ones. Also if your into gaming at all macs don't perform very well in this area even when running windows xp benchmarks come in far lower.

Ahh. Mum was outside and didn't hear the doorbell ring so they are delivering again tomorrow. Another 24 hours! I knew i shouldn't have gone out...
Once you get it, you'll have an issue with hibernating. There's a patch out there from Microsoft, but you need to contact them to get it. The issue: systems over 1GB of ram having hibernate issues. Link here: http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=909095 The actual patch you need, it's here: http://www.u-g-h.com/InsufficientSystemResourcesExistToCompleteTheAPISOLIVED.aspx Direct link to patch: http://tinyurl.com/rboz2 Let me know if you have any questions.
Dell XPS - unsure. Dell Latitude - definately doesn't have the patch. MS Updates - nope, it isn't in there. Just FYI.
I have 2 HPs, one from around 6 years ago, another from around 4 years ago, both still going. One is not used much, but the other is my work computer, and as such gets used almost as much as my home computer.
Only thing to check on with laptops is video cards really (that and overheating issues if you leave them on say, a bed...some have this problem, others do not. It really depends on where the vents are located and how well they work). Almost all the laptops I have ever owned have had integrated BAD video cards. They were mediocre when new, bad shortly there after, and horrid now.
Sorry i missed this. I'm going to Rider University in NJ I already have one. How do i turn off the thing that makes my "mouseball" thing (that little thing in the middle of the keyboard that you move to move the mouse) go to a link when tapped? Whenever i am typing something and go to type g,b or h i sometimes tap it and its annoying. Sorry if thats confusing, i hope you understand Chris
