If your last name was "Kent" would you even consider naming your son "Clark"?

(Hmm: David Coulthard wearing the cape at Monaco really highlighted the "DC Comics" aspect. ;))

Other names to look up in your phone book: Peter Parker, Bruce Wayne, Adam Canfield, Peter Joshua, Alexander Dyle, Brian Krookshank, James Kirk, Alex Hamilton, Jimmy Bond, ...

And the classics: Patty O'Furniture, Lane MacAdam, Wally Paper, ...

Kids (of all ages) can make fun of any name.

A Taiwanese-American associate, knowing of my interest in Ferraris, recently expressed surprise that another friend of his had named his son "Enzo".

I explained that "Enzo", "Dino", "Mercedes", and "Porsche" are real people names, only later applied to cars. I'm surprised how many of the native born young people in the office didn't know that either.

Remember that scene from "A Fish Called Wanda"? Now I can say, "been there".

Next, I guess I'll have to explain that the London Underground isn't a political movement. ;)

I knew a guy in high school named Harry Groth III. the name was strange enough, but the fact that people who had that name passed it down was amazing.

You could name him Carr Nutt, Lock Nutt, Reddy Orr Nutt, the possibilities are endless...
