Thanks for the tips. Thought you were selling the car? Where did you get that polished intake tube!?

Everything looks spotless!! I also use Meguairs. NXT is great but doesn't last that long. If the 3 step is the Crystal Polish set (red bottles), I have tried that aswell, and its pretty decent. If you get their pro line (tan bottles) of speed or show glaze, that stuff works great and removes light swirls. The NXT Speed detailer is better then all the others as well. I used to always do everything by hand, affraid to use anythig else, but when you use the Dual Action polisher on Black, it gets several times better, and I know that is hard to believe as good as it looks now!! I didn't think it was possible either before I bought a DA and tried.

Yes, the bottles were red. And I use step #1 and #2. Then NXT Tech Wax instead of #3.

I will try that pro line.. Hmmm.. I wonder what is different...

Is the Dual action polisher and orbital?? What is it???

I got the intake tube from Motovanti. I replaced the hoses though with red ones to match the plug wires. They come stock in black. I got them from HTS (High Temp Silicone). They made the ones that came with Motovanti's intake tube....

I actually bought a 1.5' Prancing Horse to stick on the tube. Believe me, it looked AWESOME. Till I lost the stinking horse...... I was going to get another.....

I AM selling the car. I guess you could say it is sold. Getting the PPI done this week and the buyer is flying in and driving it home. Don't foresee any PPI issues, so it is pretty much a done deal.

    Motovanti

I bought and attached the RED hoses myself. They come on black usually.

Around $120 for the entire setup if I remember right.....

The car looks absolutely great. I have a black T and I don't think it's been that clean since the day it was firt painted. Sorry if this is a slight tangent but what have folks used for cleaning the engine? I'm not concerned with grease or oil, simply dirt and dust that comes up from the road or filters through the louvers. I have a short drive on a dirt lane and, no matter how clean the car is at one end, by the time I reach the other it has a thin film of dust. The outside I can deal with but I'd like to know if there is a gentle cleanser I can spray on the engine and hose off.

    Use Gunk brand Engine Brite

It is as you say, spray on and rinse off. Although, when I used this on the bottom of mine, I sprayed on and rinsed off by hand with a wet washcloth. I wouldn't recommend a hose and its water coming anywhere near your engine bay.....

Thanks, I've used it on other cars but wasn't sure it was suitable for the F-car. I'll give it a try.
