I have tried the search thing, but nothing comes up. Please help us find the pic of white 599. Or if somebody would be so kind and do a P-shop of the 599 in white for us.

One of our friend has placed order for a white 599 with red interior to which I and my brother think is a wrong color. He isn't so sure himself about the color combo he has ordered (he was cheered on by the dealer and a friend on this color combo). So, it would be great to show him the pic of the white 599 if anyone can show it.

    Thank you in advance....

Thank you very much for the pic. As the 599 is not small, we think that white will make it looks even bigger. White also hide the detail on the car that I am afraid it will turn the car into a soap...ha ha. But from the pic, it's not too bad.

    Thanks again.

...just saw a white 599 a couple weeks ago. It looked awesome! (a lot nicer in real than on pictures...) I would stick with that color combo... as long as dash and steering wheel stay black...

Did you have to cut everything out and put it on a new layer for that? Can you just change the color from choosing off the selection not having to adjust it yourself?

It seems like everything post-360 looks great in white. ESPECIALLY the superamerica. I think the 599 looks great based on the rendering!

In most circumstances i can just choose the colour under the "replace colour" option. Use the slider-controls until i get the colour requested.
But in this case he wanted white... requiring extreme correction. i had to use something as close as possible to white and since there are not many photos out there yet, this silver one worked best. (using slider-controls to change silver to white is easier than changing blue or burgandy to white). This photo had alot of background colours matching the silver, so in the end it was faster and easier to select the body-panels and remove them to their own layer. Then i could colour-change to my hearts content without affecting anything else.
Excuse the rough selection - dark black areas - tires and wheel-wells and such - i knew wouldnt be too affected by my colour-changing.

    heres a pic to explain....

The owner is my brother's friend. And he is in Thailand, the 599 will be driven here.

I have only seen one Bianco 355 here... and it's for sale right now.

I used the polygonal lasso tool to select then copy and pasted the entire body sans tires to a top layer. I then erased the grill and vents and glass areas so the originals "showed thru".

depends on the picture. If the bodycolour of the car is unique to the photo you dont have to have anything selected. If it is not (as in the silver car above you could select the colour body sections and constrain the "Replace colour" action the only that area. Since i have it selected anyways, i copy and paste to a new layer... gives me more freedom and options...
With this photo below - a colour unique to the car - nothing is selected. Go to "Replace colour" and move the palate to one side. Move the cursor over a red area and clik. Every thing that is that shade of red shows as white. (pic 1) Those pixels will be altered when we go the sliders at the bottom of the pallet. However, ALL the car is not yet selected (due to gradations and reflections and such) you can do 2 things. hold down the shift key. A 'plus' sign appears next to the eyedropper. Click on an unselected area of the car on the photo using the b&w pic in the pallet as a guide. More areas of the car are added filling in more white. Another option is to move the "fuzziness" slider right... this lowers the "specific-ness" of the eyedropper, adding MORE shades of red - darker and lighter - to your selection. (pic 2)
I use a combo of both of these scenarios. (This is where the car-colour being unique is required.. With the silver car above, since silver is basicllly shades of grey alot of the wall and pavement started being selected as well - didnt want that)
FInally, once the appropriate areas are covered, move the sliders - Hue, Saturation, Lightness - till you get the desired colour.

ps white is tricky.. sometimes you have to do this twice or use this with curves and "Brightness/Contrast" to get it...

hope this helps... i show this for people 3 or 4 times a week here at work but i have a computer in front of us... kinda hard to put into words...

you are more than welcome... anytime...

i have used photoshop for more than 10 years now... we used a rather lame program before that called "image studio" (only did black and white) We begged for upgrading to PS.
While my work doesnt require pushing it to the limits, i find it an amazing program.
still learning new things myself all the time...

version 8. "Photoshop CS". ditto with illustrator. IT are of the mind here that says.. "let others test the leading edge stuff and work out all the bugs... we'll get it when its working right"

wheel swap photos... are you referring to direct side elevations and such?
like this? (Cavallino Classic 06 "tour of palm beach lineup)
