I have an 86 TR that just had a major service. I seem to be experiencing a slight hesitation when I try to maintain my current speed. This occurs at various rpm's and various gears. I have absolutely NO hesitation if I accelerate in any gear. I drive the car at least twice a week, and run premium fuel.

    Any thoughts?

Sound like an ignition issue. Did they put in new spark plugs?? If they did you may have gotten a bad one. This happend to me on a TR. It drove me nuts until on a lark I replaced the plugs again and it cured the problem. Even though a part is brand new, it doesn't mean it will work as expected!

Yes, they replaced plugs. I will swing by the dealer and see what they say.

I always perform an electrical continuity check of new spark plugs and wires prior to installation. I have on occasion found one plug in the set that reads infinity ohms. This is true especially for resistor plugs, since the carbon rod inside will shatter if the plug is dropped accidently, even in the box. I have also found some of the plugs go bad due to corrosion in the internals at the top connection where the plug boot is pushed on. I opened a new plug to see how it failed.

I have also found bad plug wires.
