Haha, a Veyron driver who can't afford shoes! Seriously, did you get to drive it around the track? What about the LP640? Impressions?

Great stuff, Neville. The Veyron is smaller than I thought (or you are taller than I remember). Please tell us all about it. What did you drive and what did you like?
I have 3 hours of 1080 HDV video me driving LP640 Pagani Zonda S and Bugatti Veyron. 1000hp at full throttle is unreal and ve ry scary when you see corners coming! I will need to make a DVD for you Alilce Springs guys Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
The green LP640 is RHD that I used on the track. Pearl white was the one I took on the road. I drove the Green Bugatti on the open road on both days. We only took the Red Veyron on the track. Cheryl did the Bentley Continental GT driving course and went for hotlpas with the factory test drivers on the track in all cars. Gallardos were also there I but I didn't take any pics of those!! Lp640 is now a real weapon. I reckon it is an Enzo beater seriously.
Sounds like an absolute mind-blowing experience. Just one question, money no object, what would your choice of the three be?
Dear Mark Anyone who is up for the Alice run is most welcome to hear and see me rabbit on about the trip of a lifetime. You really should have come. I don't believe anyone will get this type of opportunity again. The driving was just unbelievable. I had the LP640 at 240km/hr and skirming under brakes at the end of the straight. Lp640 had corsa tyres and made serious g forces. Love to see you again. I am going to Molsiem to get pictures of Bugatti build facility. You should see the quality of the Bugatti sales material and Video Bugatti is so easy to drive normally you would not believe. I have to put the seat forward and up to reach the pedals. If you want small movies of the Bugatti exhaust and LP640 at full noise down the straight email me [email protected]. Please be patient if everyone emails it will take a while from a Paris Hotel
Good to see you doing it tough Nev. Nice pics and words to wet our appetite. I second Mark's suggestion. We're going to be in Italy from the 8th July so if you're still here, we could catch up for a bowl of pasta. Starting off down south in mafia country and working our way up to Venice.
It's not fair. You guys living it up in Europe while we are grinding away back home - and freezing our nuts off while we are at it. And we'll get to hear about it in excruciating detail when you get home...
We only had 2 other couples to share the driving with on the second track day so got the best attention and met all the test drivers technical sales and marketing people. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I empathise with you Mark, especially as I sit here in my jocks (sorry no pics) enjoying the lovely weather but feeling a bit second hand after a big night last night.

Once again, Neville, great story! I have to ask how you managed to get involved in this? Also that pearl white LP640 looks the ducks nuts! Can you change the grey still

Only one statement to make Neville......... "Car enthusiasts trip of a lifetime"... i'm stunned looking at that, just speechless. So which one out of the Veyron, Zonda F and the LP640 is returning to Alice Springs with you?
Far out!!!!!! Awesome pics Nev! You are a lucky guy mate. Cant wait to meet you and listen to your experience's with these cars when we hit the Alice.
I am going to see if i can possibly get a Veyron into the country. That is the immediate priority. I have to say that Valencia resorts are not shabby now the America's Cup is in town either. Sounds amazing, not sure what to say but looks like every car nuts dream! Great, one more thing to look forward too!
I know which engine I prefer and it says 16.4 Body of the Bugatti looks much better in the flesh and will not date like the Lamborghini Track only Zonda F Weekend warrior Lambo Everyday car and all above - Bugatti. Don't just think it is the engine. The Transmission and driveline smarts are the real weapon in this car.
