Not to detract from Audi's great win first time out at Le Mans with the R10 turbodiesel, it should be noted that Scuderia Ecosse's F430 finished 3rd in GT2, 10 laps behind the class-winning Panoz.

I understand that this equipe is basically a descendant of Ecurie Ecosse, which won Le Mans twice in the '50s with Jaguar D-types (and which gave Jim Clark some of his early drives).

Unfortunately, none of the Maranellos running in GT1 finished the race. The sole Lamborghini Murcielago was the last classified finisher in the class.

Because the Astons broke, again. But you have to hand it to Covette. In order to finish first, you must first finish.

I do also have to hand it to the Vettes reliability is a part of racing. But damn I was sure that was the Aston Martin's race to win. They had lead from hour 7 to just under the 3 hour mark. Very frustrating as I was rooting for them to win this weekend.

I always root for the Astons but the reliability just doesn't seem to be on par with Chevy's. Thats weird, lol.

With them running the rest of the ALMS series they can sort those issues out. It will also make the race extremely interesting as Corvette will have someone pushing them to the edge. It is extremely pleasing to watch those two go at it.
