I'm first in line, then The closest I ever came to hurling was a Kings Dominion corkscrew coaster...I've been trying to top that experience ever since Nip, you naughty Vette - did you get pulled over for the speed or the lack of front plate? They want us to have front plates so their radar has a vertical surface to bounce off of. Grrr.
oh ****... we've got the makings of a drifter on our hands now! Jamieson... youre gonna havta show us this route again for those who missed this one! Pretty please!
Never seen TSC come on as often as it did today - 20 miles of second-third-second-first-second-third-second...unbelievable!!
i second that request. sorry i missed out. the pics looks like rt 6 or 202...directly below the east side of bear mt bridge...?
Not a problem guys - These were my local roads, glad to share them with you - there are a lot more than that around, we'll have to do it again. Greg - Anytime! I was glad to get home to my daughter and it was getting warm out in the leathers. It was fun to ride with you guys - great pictures - and glad that you let me lead, being that you hadn't met me before today. The Triumph looks like a pretty good color match there next to the Gallardo.
Rt 218 between West Point and Cornwall, west side of the Hudson. Far less travelled, and a similar road, if not a little bit narrower. *edit* add link http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&ll=41.424322,-73.97644&spn=0.045051,0.080509&om=1
Nice! Looks like a great day guys -- sorry I missed it. Jdogg -- did you take everyone up on Storm Mtn. where we saw you during the Dream Car Tour? nlh
haha...he started with a hangover before the twisties, so that's not fair!!! I had a blast, that's for sure. And the cop was a hottie
Noah - I had to leave when they went to breakfast. I gave them directions to get back onto Rt 9W south to go over the top of Storm King when they were done and were heading home. I'm pretty sure that they took that road back, with the big sweepers. All favorite roads here in my back yard.
What a great day! What a bunch of cool people! Vik.. Thanks again for this great morning. I don't remember the last time I had so much fun that early in the morning. I took a bunch of pictures and just got done editing them all. But looks like I've used up the attachment limit here... Is there any way to erase some of the pics I've hosted to open up more space? JDogg -- Thanks again. Didn't realize we were near Storm King -- I had independently been planning a drive up there because I wanted to visit Storm King Art Center (if you don't know it, it's this huge "preserve" of rolling lawns and outdoor sculpture. I'm a bit of an art nut and it's like nirvana for me over there), and then cross back over to have lunch in Cold Spring... (Had no idea they were so close to each other until I looked at the link you provided). If you and others are interested, I can post when I'm going up (I wouldn't necessarily expect others to stick around for the art tour --though anyone would be welcome to -- but it would be a nice drive anyway -- clearly!) Cheers, J.
SKAC is a beautiful place - better when you can find a cool day to go. Picnic lunch and a lawn blanket, walking shoes and a day without a schedule. Also - if you decided to go to Cold Spring, you might want to head just a little further north and hit DIA:Beacon. http://www.diacenter.org/bindex.html And yes, I can find the 'good' roads between the places!
Hovik - great shots! Super color - did you play around with the saturation? Can't pull down pictures you've uploaded, so once you hit the limit that's it. A Silver Subscription is $15 for a year, and gives you unlimited uploads.
I'm hosting the pictures on my website right now. Yes.. I played with all the pictures on Pshop.. How do you like the video?
I like the video but I see so many places where I could have been faster and pushed harder. Still great!
vik: what does your license plate ring say? what music are you listening to? hovik: great vid/pics -looks like a blast guys, good to see everyone made it home safe as well.
During the videotaping and most of the time, Shivam with the S4 was right behind us. Some really great driving skills he has!
Yes It's Fast... ...And No You Can't Drive It. What I always listen to, hip hop. I think that particular song was an older one: Lighters Up by Lil Kim. We were listening to the CD. All the new stuff is on my iPod. Hate playing it through the wireless modulator though since there is so much of sound distortion. I really like the song in this link though (): http://70.85.40.84/~ferrari/forum/showthread.php?p=135870458#post135870458
