My F430 has been built and shipped via ocean to the USA 1 month ago today. (on May 9th). How long does it take to ship across the Atlantic? I have been told it should arrive soon but have not yet received word that it has arrive in NJ. How long does this typically take?
Has to be trucked to a port then shipped to NJ port of entry.Usually takes about 3 weeks in all. Then it undergoes a ppi in NJ and if all Ok trucked to Az. I know how you feel but remember anticipation can be enjoyed rather than a source of angst.
My 04 360 spider took 31/2 weeks from the time it went from status 90 till it reached the dealer. My 430 went to status 90 alittle over 3 weeks ago. It seems to take longer now, I heard May was a large build month and aot of cars were being shipped.
Are you near your dealer? I assume your car was an April build. If you are close I'd drive over and let them show you the screen from Ferrari that shows your cars status.
As of last Friday (exactly 4 weeks from ship date) it still shows on the water. The dealer told me that he gets status updates 2x a week on Fridays and Mondays. I am hopeful that I will hear today that it has finally landed in NJ. I am very anxious to receive the car. I actually was placed on the list for a 360 replacement back on 02-01-2002! I have waiting a very, very long time so far......
New update... Car has arrived in New Jersey. Transatlantic shipping time was a few days over 1 month. Hopefully it will now be shipped on a much faster truck to Arizona!
I will post pics when it arrives. I am being told it should arrive around Wednesday. I hope it actually arrives sooner of course!
Congrats! I was just by Scottsdale Ferrari/Maserati two days ago. The Jaguar/Bentley dealer next to them were getting a vintage Bentley and a new Bentley that day. Can't wait for the pics!
Yes, it has arrived at the dealer late yesterday afternoon. Today they are prepping it. I should be able to pick it up by tomorrow afternoon at the latest from Scottsdale Ferrari. I will post pictures as soon as possible. I did get a sneak peak yesterday evening however! I was very impressed with the leather interior. It was much nicer than I imagined!
Congratulations. I'm glad the wait is really over now. This weekend will have some nice driving for sure.
The spec on your car sounds virtually identical to my own F430 which arrived in April. I didn't go for the contrasting red stiching so would very intersted to see a few photo's of your car with this feature.
As of yesterday evening I finally have the car! Wow! What a car! I have jumped from occasionally driving a '79 308 GTS to this new F430 and it is obviously a night & day difference. I am amazed at how integrated technology has become. It seems like the whole car is now run by computers.... and I suppose it actually is! She seems to handle great although I have not yet had much of an opportunity to drive it very much yet. I love the bright yellow tach and the front headlamps especially at night when they light up! The front running lights are especially cool. The ball polished wheels also look great! I have attached my first pictures. Unfortunately they did not come out that good. I will take better pictures soon. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
