I really do not know how long could it last WITHOUT the grill...

Being a Stero guy, I would have to say that a sub would ruin the wonderful music in a Ferrari. But for the install, it looks great. I bet it sounds good to. I would also say get a grill. but have it painted to match the rest of the leather.

 

Get a grill similar to the one from Polk Audio's Momo Designed line of sub woofers. The silver color should go nicely with 360 interior.

Why do Ferraris even come with a radio. The noise of the F430 engine is a symphony in itself.

 

That's why I never turn the radio on in my F430- ever!!

When my '07 Audi S8 arrives in September, with the optional Bang and Olufsen 1,000 Watt 14-speaker audio system - then I'll listen to that "radio".

Agree with Robert - there's only 1 tune that I want to listen to when I'm driving the 430.

 

I agree, I never put on the radio, the car is music to my ears.

Funny... I am getting an S8 as well. The BO stereo will be awesome. Considered the S550 but the S8 is truely spectacular. Plus MBs are too common place around here. The S8 is more of a drivers car. The MB is too much of a couch on wheels.

 

Very nice install. But also recommend the grill. Who made the box for you?

Definitely get a grill. Why a radio? Two of my three favorite things in this world are music and driving performance cars. The only thing that would best that would be if I could combine all three, but that could be dangerous!

That sub looks very nice but I can tell you that the volume is too small for that 10" driver. If if were greater volume you have even more bass!

A 6 1/2" or 8" would have been better for that size enclosure.

It looks very nice, however.

With what amp are you driving it?

Was also ready to order the new S550 until I saw those horrendous wheel flares in the rear!! Thought for a second that Chris Bangle moved over to MB from BMW.

Hopefully, we can compare notes in a few months. Can't wait!! The wife is ecstatic now that we don't need another SUV in the winter (S8=AWD) in addition to her new Range Rover Supercharged coming in July.

Nicely done. How far along is she? Bad joke, it looks like a pregnant belly, but nicely done. Painting the woofer interior color wouls be a great finish.

I've been vascillating between the Pearl Black (metallic) and the Daytona Gray. Brilliant Black is too much work for me (or someone else) to keep perfect. However, I do feel that the interior in black w/silver stitching will be quite elegant in the S8.

Can change color and options before August, I believe. So, I'll just keep making myself crazy for the next few months.

 

Looks terrible as is. Sorry. Put a grill over it and its managable. Having a 10" sealed sub 12" away from my head is not what I would call fun... Much less in a car with the interior volume (size) of a 2 seat Ferrari.
