Does anybody know where the car ended up? Darth I dig what you are saying about Karma. I did not even get a mention in the Forza article and the last invoice for the build is still unpaid. I was also threatened with a lawsuit if I told the truth about the F40! Bad Karma is a b*&%$#! Martin I hear what you are saying but the guy dealt me the final blow.
I happen to know someone who has won Le Mans. Does that make me a Le Mans winner by association? If you guys could validate that, it would be great. I need something big like that to add to my resume.
Hate to be redundant..but what happened?..w/Roland...alot of subliminal issues to the uninformed - (me)..clue me in?
Cliff notes version: Roland lied by omission about his 2 (supposed) Lemans wins to dupe would be driving school participants into thinking they were being instructed by a winning driver, took sponsorship money for years and apparently screwed plenty of people along the way. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=86899&highlight=lemans Martin? Anything to add?
Got it..I also like the cliff note version, just spent alot of time sifting through the link you posted here..whew.
"by omission"??? WTF? I think it was more like a crowd of rabble that didn't get immediate response....... Mother's still uses the footage..........no harm no foul there.. David you have a PM, brudda!
The Forza article showed it burned to crisp, totalled. Headed for the crusher... Is there more truth 'out there'?
Big Tex, I thought Roland bought his F-40 burnt, & then rebuilt it with another motor he aquired, and that's what we've seen..are you referring to this or did it burn again?
I was referring to original article......David if he has a Mechanic's lien or even legitimate invoices should be paid by current owner........IMO. I was wondering about his comment....he has validity with me...... AJ Foyt still has his Lemans champagne bottle. I've looked at it, I guess Gurney didn't want it....it IS empty......
Was he driving the F40? That car was/is beautiful. Bertoochi hand bulit the whole thing. I was there when it was delivered to his shop......burnt to a crisp.
I post on a Ferrari chat site because I love Ferraris. There is more information centralized on this site than I could ever read. I get to see beautiful pictures, intoxicating videos and learn valuable information about the actual ownership of a Ferrari-- which I will experience in the future. Thanks for your input. --And for what it's worth, I didn't know Roland very well, but the one time I did meet him, he was a very gracious and kind man. He gave me an experience that I will remember for the rest of my life. The Roland I know is a good man.
True, but that argument cuts both ways. More than once did I have that thought when the tide was against my line of arguing.
