Hi. The Becker unit in the 360 stinks. I'd like to upgrade it to a bluetooth system, like the Parrot. Does anyone know of any issues or have any other suggestions? Thanks

I had a Parrott installed in my F430 Spider. It works quite well. Nothing is great in a convertible!

BT is usually added on to stereo. You can add it to the Becker. If you are upgrading head unit, just get one with some sort of input for ipod or BT interface.

I too am looking to upgrade my system in my 360 spider, the stock unit is weird and doesn't sounds all that good. I was figuring on yet another Alpine, a few amps and new speakers. What is this blue-tooth thing all about?????

Hi, I had taken the risk to upgrade my sound system with the following:

    1. Pioneer DVD/Navigation/Bluetooth
    2. Infinity speakers in both the doors and subwoofer box
    3. 4 way Alpine Amplifier
    4. Pioneer rear view camera
    5. Front parking sensors
    6. Pioneer 6 CD changer (given tha the Becker changer is not compatible with most equipments out there)

I like how is sounds, and was able to get the original subwoofer box from a shop in Miami (simiar to the 430). I also like the radio's bluetooth capability fo being able to enter in the 360 with my bluetooth cellphone and be able to synch them ann use the speaker to hear my conversation. The rear camera helps me when I back out of the garage and the front parking sensors helps me avoid damaging the bumper in some parking lots.

The following are some pics, including other subwoofer box assembly the shop made for a yellow 360 spider.

    Hope you like it.

I did too much homework. I bought the Pioneer 980BT HU with built in bluetooth. I don't want anyone (at this point) running wires all over the place, but I did put the ipod adapter into the glove, and it works fine. (but you should put down a piece of velcro to hold it in place). Ipod controls all happen at the deck, so you don't need to see the ipod itself.

next are the speakers. my 360 has no sub's. I think they car is wired for the sub, but not sure. so, i am just going to replace the speakers with some real ones - the pioneer puts out decent clean power. Anyone have any suggestions for speaker replacements that fit behind the OEM grills?

    thanks

Can you give me the name of the shop please. My new Spider has a great sub but it goes all the way across, behind both seats, and I am a tall guy so I need to change it.

The sub enclosure that gianpaulo360 is showing is, I believe, the OEM Ferrari unit into which new 5 1/4" drivers were installed that are now being shown in his vehicle photo.

That's a decent enclosure but the factory drivers are more for a lady's aide society than for a true audiophile.

The spider is a difficult car for which to design a proper sub enclosure due to the low deck and the storage unit there.

There are compromises unless you have an enclosure the likes of what Skidkid refers to.

However, if that shop built that enclosure I'd like to talk with them!

  11. Hi Guys, the enclosure for the speakers I got it from a shop in Miami, FL called Maranello Racing Cars (305) 470-3667. They can make the enclosures for both spiders and coupes, and based on the vehicle, they will match using the original leather color.

  12. I have replaced the door's speakers with 6.5" Infinity 6012si, which makes a lot of difference compared with the stock speakers.

Here is a picture, which is not the best, of the front bumper with the sensors installed (you can see the round sensor in the grill). I will get better pics for you. The car is with my partner this week.
