Is there a way to tell if my 1990 has been updated to r134? I see threads that describe changing the fittings; are they a different size than the r12?

    Thanks,
    Bill

Hello Bill, Sorry I didn't crack the verniers out to get you port sizes but I believe pictures are better than figures. What you need to check are the pictures of the charging ports below for the R134a refridgerant. If you have those suckers fitted on your pipe like the pictures it has been updated, on the other hand if it looks longer than those they have probably just cheaped out and fitted the R12 to R134a adaptors still using the old air con hoses. Hope this information helps you out :)
