Bring a little AM radio with headset. The race is live on AM 1070 and it really helps to follow the action when you can hear the broadcast.

Bring whatever camera equp you want. Your pics will be from behind the fence though. The cars go by very fast, good luck getting a good shot with a big lense!

Just bring a desire to have fun.

Binocs, depends on where you are sitting. Ear plugs, yes. Camera, only if you will ever look at the photos again in the future.

What's anyone doing Thursday afternoon in Indy? If my car makes it down I'll sure need something to do! If you're leaving soon, jot my number down (below) and let's make something happen!
Problem is, I don't golf, you see... :|

That's a strange thing to say. I'm puzzled.

I'm crossing my fingers that we get to Indianapolis in time for this on Friday.
Andreas, will you be at this event? (I missed meeting you by a couple of hours when you came to Motorsport Ranch.)

Yes, I'll be at the circle taking gazillions of pictures of the cars there and then join the FChatters at the bar. I'm easy to spot: The one guy in the Ferrari crowd wearing an Alonso hat. :)

So what is everyone doing on Saturday. A few of us are coming down Sat. and should be there around noon. Any special gatherings? Who all from Chicagoland are heading down?

Anyone mind a nonFerrari owner being there? I just graduated from college, thus no funds. We'll have my brother's RSX, not ricey at all and we'll park away from you guys. I'm just looking to meet up with some like minded people and have a great time. It's my first USGP, first GP for that matter, so I'm looking for things to do.

Thad - Everyone is welcome, plenty of owners and non-owners (like me!) will be there.

Sweet, thanks guys. I'm really looking forward to this. What is the dress attire? Should I wear my Ferrari t-shirt or my Ferrari red dress shirt?

Good times. Maybe I'll just come with some strategically placed Bridgestone rubber.

I'm going to be at the FCA thing at 2. I might as well stop by the F-chat gathering. Do I need let anyone know that I'll be attending or just show up?

Just show up, no reservations, we're just raiding the bar. Everyone for themselves. I've had a couple dozen from out of town interested and I know at least a dozen from just the DFW crowd that will be around.

Last year they met somewhere and paraded into down town and parked around the Circle in Downtown. Very good turnout last year.

Normally they gather on Friday around 3pm at the Zoo parking and then have a police escort through Indy downtown. They will end up at the Circle around 6pm. There FCA has a dinner.

Apart from that FCA has its own parking on the West side of the track.

Anything planned specifically for Ferrari on Saturday? We'll be done from Chicago around noon and most likely heading off to the Ferrari Corral across from the track.

Its 3:30 PM, Indy is now Eastern time. Downtown is quiet, just a couple of Ferraris on the Circle. The rest supposedly will show up at 6 PM. Nicky Blaine's is just off the Circle, due south.
