    I'm sure I have seen someone selling a shim kit – i.e. the valve shim tools with a selection of shims in the UK. But buggered if I can find them now I want to do them. Any ideas anyone?

    I am too as well looking for a valve shims kit for my 308 QV, I do have a kit for the 2 valve 308 but not for QV I believe they are diff. in size. Any leads would be appreciated, thank you.

    Thanks Andrew, I can see the suspension shim kit on their site, perhaps it was this I remembered, which is why I cant find the valve shim kit! Although the US link looks good, but suspect postage will make it not worthwhile.

    Back about 12-15 years ago when I owned an '84 Maserati BiTurbo there was a group/club, whatever,..... that would pass along a shim kit from one person to another via an "honor" system thru either the USPS/UPS/FEDEX. You would use what you needed from what was in the shim selection and then put the ones you removed back into the inventory.............It worked out very well and as long as you got the adjustment done within a very short time, the entire "community" of Mas owners had equal and ample time to make use of the shims............Just a thought!     Just as a FYI,

    The Ferrari 2V shims are the same as the Fiat X 1/9 shims...Consequently, you may wish to check out some Fiat parts suppliers as well.

    2v shims are also same as Volvo 240 series if memory serves me correctly quite cheap to buy.

    Not just the X 1/9 but all over head fiat and Lancias. The shims set that I have is for my Lancias and Fiats.

    Watch eBAY for Ferrari, Volvo, Fiat, or Lancia shims. These shims for the 2V engines come up every week or so.

    The 4V engines take a 29mm shim that's unique to them as far as I know. The 4V shims very rarely show up on eBAY. George Evans:

    this is the plase i got my valve shims GLOBAL METRICS INC. WILL FIT FIAT/ VOLVO/ ( FERRARI 2 VALVE) i order what i need it. did not have a kit at that time.
