6 year old HP 4500 bit the dust this past weekend and I am replacing it with a brand new HP 4750N. The question that I have is what can I do with the back up toner cartridges that I bought for the 4500? I have one of each color, unopened and in the original boxes as well as 2 of the imaging drums...all totaled it is worth about $1,200 and I would hate to toss it. Is there anyone here that could use it? I would gladly part with it for a lot less than what I paid for it.

Or any ideas on how to get some of my money back on these toners...ebay excluded.

When it comes to computer equipment...it's an automatic loss. There's nothing you can do about it.

You said 'Ebay excluded', that may be your only chance of recovering anything.

Actually talked to the manager of the local Office Depot and he said that he would exchange them for credit towards toners for the new printer...which I have to say is stand up as I don't have receipts.

BTW the new printer kicks butt. :)
