Yes, it is possible. I didn't try it, but I don't think it would be a problem. The Bluetooth in the new Becker is seen on my phone as two devices; 1- Audio handsfree and 2- Computer device. So yes, in theory it should work. But there will be a problem. The bluetooth doesn't use all the speakers, equalizers, sound modes, etc... So you will end up hearing really bad audio. So I wouldn't even think of using bluetooth for my music. I'd rather just leave it for what's been made for; phone calls. But other than that, it is a very nice system. Now whenever I enter my car, the system recognize my phone and connect to it automatically. Then when I receive a call, all what I need to do to accept that call is say "Yes" or press "OK". And for SMS the system will beep twice notifying me that I got a message so I can check my phone screen when I have the chance. Of course, all that has nothing to do with the term "Cutting-Edge Technology". But I am pretty satisfied. While I have no idea if it can go with a 360, that medallion is part of the carbon fiber option for the engine compartment. Any F430 that has CF in its engine has that medallion. They are everywhere and I just hate them. Having money and nice cars is one thing, being snobbish and don't care about other people is a totally different thing. That kind of "Young and Wealthy" in Geneva is a lot. Unfortunately, not all of them know the value of what they have. Most of them just take everything for granted.
It is nice to hear that you have your head on straight. On the subject of your car I would say that your color combination is quite beautiful. I do have the confidence that my local dealer will have an allocation for me so that I can take delivery toward the end of this year. The allocation date was originally in the second month of this year but had been delayed. In every conversation that I had with the dealer the reassurances were always in terms of "it should happen soon". I will be so thrilled when I eventually get the call. From the date of the allocation I will have 15 days to decide on the specifics and I do not wish to miss any details. I will be selecting either the titanium or silverstone exterior. For the interior it will be between the tan and your interior color.
Extremely beautiful and well taken pictures, thanks for sharing them Nasharty! I hope to see your car(s) one day (as well as those of your friend, if he doesn't mind coming to one of the Asphalte.ch car meetings this summer). You seem to have a lot of passion for your cars and I really admire this *thumbsup* I'll go drool in the corner now... p.s. there's something funny about this gray color. It fits some cars so very well. I remember when it got released for the old model Mercedes SLK and was called "Pewter". A few cars with that color combo were released (one good example was down at ROC Crissier second hand car dealership near Lausanne), and it was stunning. My SLK back then was Linarite Blue, which whilst a nice color, looked "boring" next to this dark gray... Then the new SLK came out with once again a gray color like this, now called "Cubanite". Another Swiss friend of mine bought an SLK 350 with that color, and it was simply stunning. This 430 continues the trend, the color combo is simply fabulous, very different from the usual (I still think "red" is the true Ferrari color), but boy, if I got a good offer for a gray one like this, I'd be all over it I prefer wheels to be non-powder coated however. Just my opinion, but wheels should be silver, maybe with a chrome strip all around them (goes well with black), but having them powder coated to go with the gray body is an interesting option. I think I'd prefer to see it in a photoshopped image which is a bit larger then showing just one wheel (maybe an angle shot showing the entire car, both in a country side photo, and in the city, with both front and rear rims photoshopped gray would give a better impression). Still, very very beautiful =)
One of the most beautiful cars i've ever seen. You are truly a lucky man. I now have some wallpapers to drool over
nasharty, i've noticed you don't like bright images! is there a particular reason? just don't like working in sunlight or too bright of daylight? girlfriend is cute btw! jeff
Thanks everyone for the nice words. I appreciate it. As for the dark images, it is just coincidence. I took many bright images. Check those out. I consider them bright. The second picture is my little brother's birthday cake. He is already in love with Ferrari's and requested a cake that has an F40 on it. Yes, he requested it by name. He said "I want an F40 on my cake". He just turned 6. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Are your parents looking for some adopted children? If your brother is already loving Ferrari's, he will have a very good youth
LOOOL I know nobody will believe a word, but my little brother drove my F430 many times already. Of course he can't reach the brakes/accelerator, he just sits on my lap and take the wheel. All what I do is feather the throttle a little and he pretty much change gears and keep the car straight. And before anybody flame me, this was done inside the perimeter of our house. So no danger for anybody. His room is full of Ferrari pictures and flags too. The boy is in love with cars and his favorite is Ferrari's.
Nasharty: What was your opinion on the 350D like the picture quality and overall function. I might be getting one and I am curious as to how it is.
According to his EXIF data he has the Canon 5D. 5D > 30D > 20D > 350D. 350D aka "Rebel XT" has great picture quality, but is a plastic camera, has lower build quality and cheaper materials than the others, and has a grip for someone with tiny hands. Without turning this into a thread on photography, check out these links: http://www.photo.net/equipment/canon/20D_vs_30D_vs_5D_vs_D200 http://www.bobatkins.com/photography/digital/eos_digital_rebel_xt_vs_20d.html PM me if you have any questions. note: I shoot with the 20D. It's fantastic, but the quality of the shot really depends on your lenses and your skill as a photographer.
I wish i could get the 20D but, the 350D will be fine for me and the 20D is outside my price range. I can get a 350D for a very low price so it seems more appropriate.
Nasharty... I wonder if the various posts praising you for your car desensitizes you to future posts that also compliment your car. But i'll take the risk and say that you own a truely glorious car. It gives me a woody everytime I see it, and i have to be carefull of who I'm around when I look at pictures of your car. Question: I once read on the site that there was a clip of you driving a Ferrari when a man walked up and asked about the exhaust. I would really like to see that video. If you know or anyone else knows about it please let me know Look forward to hearing from you,
name plate is awesome! shows stability. i love the interior and ext. colors, so hot right now. CONGRATS!
Hi Nasharty !!!! Congratulations ! I haven't seen this thread before ( don't know why ?) !!! Lovely car mate !!! And this badge on the dashboard - AWESOME !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hope to see it in next year in Geneva during my visit in March ! Regards Tad
Wow I think thats the best color combination Ive seen on an F430. They are definitely my favorite V8 Ferrari and I prefer it over some V12 Ferraris. Endless congratulations. Great choice of car. Its so clean Id be afraid to drive it....for an hour.
Sir, whoever you are, I just want you to know that that is easily the most beautiful F430 Ive ever seen. I can only imagine how beautiful it is in person. Congratulations. I think everyone who orders a new Ferrari should ask you for the specifying stage. Amazing.
My car is Black Opal with black/blue interior. The Black Opal is actually a bluish black color, so it goes perfectly with the black/blue interior. physans's post is a perfect reference to major differences. But I have to say that I loved (and still love) my 350D. It is a very good camera, specially for those who are still starting the hobby. I found great joy using it. It makes very nice images. Hey Tad, we'll sure meet up again just like last March. Thank you and everybody else for the nice words. I appreciate it a lot.

Thanks for the compliment. The clip should be somewhere on the internet. I really don't know which site is hosting it on its servers nowadays. Of course I still have the original clip on my computer. I will try to post it on rapidshare when I get home tonight and put the link here.
Awesome 430 enjoy it and thanks for the pics! (as for camera's rebel xt is the best from what I hear and have seen of the work it turns out. I just bought a 7mp canon ultra compact that is very nice and much cheaper though-pics forthcoming) I like the celebration cake also! I'm having one made for my 18th birthday with an F430 most likely (red with black background) I'll post pics in a few weeks after my bday. Again enjoy the car!
Thank you If you want, I can post some pictures of it before I sell it. I am most probably going to let it go in a month. It's been with me for 3 years now. I will get either the M5 or a Quattroporte. I hate the design of the M5 but the engine and the drivability are growing so much on me now.
I drove the M5 and the Quattroporte when finally deciding on the E63. The M5 was a very nice car indeed, but the transmission was like it was being operated by a drunk schizophrenic. There are settings for the transmission, but I found them all to be amazingly frustrating -- either hanging onto a gear at 5500rpm while maintaining a steady speed for example, or "oh god, what now?!" recalcitrance in refusing to down-shift when the pedal is mashed to the floor. The car has been ruined (ie Bangle-ized) inside by the iDrive system which renders the most simple of operations into several minutes of frustration. I guess once the learning curve is mastered, it might not be so bad -- but it'd never be as good as the pre-iDrive system. If the M5 were available with a standard 6sp, I'd be all over it -- and put up with iDrive.... The Quattroporte (I drove the GT sport) was a beautiful car inside, and "handsome" I'd say on the outside. I expected to hate the duo-Select transmission, but found it to be quite pleasant. I'd prefer, in this type of car, a regular torque-converter based transmission, or even a 6sp manual ... but I could live with the duo-Select if I had to. In the end though, it was the car's ergonomics that turned me off completely. The nav system display was very "basic" looking, and a little frustrating to use, as were most of the other electronics in the car. The ride and performance were exceedingly good -- not M5 frenetic, but very very capable. Which brings me to the Merc. The new E63 has the new 7-speed automatic for the first time in an AMG vehicle. I don't like blown engines, so a naturally aspirated 6.2 litre engine is very appealing to me, and I'll take the slight drop in torque in exchange for more power, and most importantly of all -- the new tranny. I drove the SL550 with that tranny, and it is amazing -- it's like it's telepathic or something. It picks just the right gear all the time, and it's always ready to downshift at a moment's notice. Changes are amazingly fast and smooth. But most of all, I'm familiar with the electronics in my current E500 wagon. The amount of time to achieve perfection in ergonomic design must've been huge. *Everything* that you want to do, whether it's the climate control, nav system, audio is easy and intuitive. The nav system doesn't require you to negotiate with lawyers too everytime you get in the vehicle (as you do with the BMW/Maserati, in US markets). For a car that's a daily-driver it's perfectly designed. I will miss 4 wheeldrive, but I guess you can't have everything.... I would love to see more pics if you care to share -- PM if you get chance! thanks!
