Dammit Rooney, What an idiot for taking a red card!

    No Beckham
    No, Rooney
    No Owen

    J. Cole just came off.... wow, we all know where this 1 is going. I highly doubt England can pull off a win. Hope Lennon and Crouch can make something happen, because Lampard cant hit the net if it were a mile wide.

I just got back from a drive (with the red car of course) and I happened to drive through the Portugese neighborhood (Rachel/St. Urbain). Hooooleeee momma!!!! I've never seen so many Portugese flags....and don't get me started on Portugese girls!!! Hamnahamnahamna......

OK...back to World Cup commentaries. I hope Italy decimates Germany!!!!! Make 'em pay for 1939-1945. ;)

Incredible Game. Major respect to Ricardo for being a brick wall in the shoot-out. It was sad to see England lose, but congrats to Portugal for pulling off the win. Even if England miraculously won today, there's no way they would stand a hair of a chance vs. Brazil with Beckham, Rooney AND the heart of the defense - TERRY - out. Hats off to John Terry, Owen Hargreaves and Steven Gerrard for fighting til the last seconds. Lampard... he needs to get back to work asap. See you in 4 years boys!

Again there was some questionable officating, but the hell with that BS what's done is done.

Owen Hargreaves - the only one to score in the S-O is born in Canada! Rock on!

    Dobbiamo riscattare Mexico 70 e USA 94...

:( I'm sad that England lost, but dammit, it should have been a penalty kick for england when Beckham hit the defenceman's hand in the box, in the closing seconds of the game.

Well, Brazil Vs. France up right now. Any predictions?

I have my money on Brazil in a 3-1 win. :D

All I can say is W O W. Zizou got his revenge, and good Lord what skill he put on display today! I'm very dissapointed with Brazil though, there was absolutley no flow in their offence. None whatsoever. Zidane, Ribery and Henry just dominated the field. They were purley in the zone the entire 2nd half. Congrats to France.

Imagine if England went through.. ENG vs FRA. That would be a mouthwatering matchup.

France has a new hero. Ribery was great. The last 5 minutes or so were tense. I was expecting Brazil to get lucky.

AS I STATED FROM THE VERY BEGINNING.

BRASIL WILL NOT WIN THE WORLD CUP !!!!!

Dont you hate it when im right ?

Vasco, how do you feel about only one flag to carry now ?

No Argentina, No Brasil, No Iraq, No Korea ..... you guys are out of flags.

Protugal got some lucky breaks......not sure about the call on the red card....could have gone either way, but end of day, the shoot out was great, and well deserved by Portugal.

Good luck to the remaining teams !!

Rick, the shootout was horrendous! England couldn't take shots if the integrity of their manhood depended on it. On the other hand, Ricardo seemed to be a brick wall, or maybe England just sucks. BUT he did manage to get a hand on Hargreaves shot.

I'm rooting for France now. Altho zee Germans are looking like a good prospect.

England has a history of not being very good at shootouts. So its nothing new.

Well I am cheering for Portugal now.......

I don't know which team France was playing.......because the guys on the field may have had Brasilian shirts, but they were not the Brasilian players from the last 4 games........that much is for sure.

France has had a terrible tournament to date and does not deseve to be were they are, the statistics bare that out..........

Portugal played well against England, and the score should have been 3-0 for them. But they have to learn how to do one thing IMHO if they are going to beat France.......shoot the damn ball !! All that fancy passing around like Brasil does no good if you don't kick the ball at the net.

    GO PORTUGAL !!!!!!
