Tearing past a gararge to day in me spider and noticed a 12 parked up. So spun around rarther sharply and took a look and some pictures. The car has been in the dudes family since brand new and has 65k miles on the clock. The owner wasnt an enthusiast may be like his dad, which is a shame:( But its not the cars fault:D I will leave it to you BB anoraks to talk about the UK spec cars:D

It's a BBi Rob...they all have metric TRX tyres originally.

The roof antenna is a crime.... probably works, but still an offence punishable by slow death.

Out of curiosity....how could you tell he was not an enthusiast? Just wondering.

Very cool that you saw one and could grab some pics. They are very nice looking cars.

Several things realy, first of all i parked the F430 spider at the entrance of the sales room while i was taking pictures of the car. The owner was no were to be seen becourse he was having his car MOT tested at the gararge. As i was walking back to the car a guy walks past the Spider with out looking or showing any interest at all, ( first clue;))
Then to my suprise the guy who i thought was just a guy walking by opens his car door. I walk back over being plesent and he has a face like a bulldog chewing a wasp:D He showed no interest al all in ferraris or what he had. I did put it to him that maybe he was not an ferrari enthusiast and he just shruged and did the mouth gesture thing. He told me it had been in his family all its life and i get the impresion he realy wasnt botherd about the car.
Also i asked him if it was for sale becourse i know of certain people who were looking for one and his responce was, well every things got a price.
Na trust me when i say that the dude was not an enthusiast, i have been around ferraris long enough to know what one is;) I happend to be driving by on the main road when i spotted the BB and i spun round just to have a look at this rare beast, dude walks past the latest ferrari and does not even turn his head, tells me alot:)

I know several dozen Ferrari owners that don't turn their head to look at the newer mass production cars, that's a broad brush to try and paint this guy with.

Sorry have you not just read the rest that i have wrote about what our conversation was???? A ferrari enthusiast would not have done what he did or spoke the way he did, with a take it or leave it atituide.

Conversational social skills are not a prerequisite for enthusiasm.

Chaa, I'm sure your right, if it's been in his family for years he was probably just the designated person to take it for an MOT.........or maybe even just the gardner (one of my customers gets his to drop off his Maserati!) lots of people in the UK seem to think nice toy's make them above being polite......they tend to be the ones upto their ears in debt :D

Yea, thanks and I liked the description of the owner, as well....LOL!

FORZA covered a purple Lusso in downtown London, keep an eye out for that one!.

Boxers can get expensive to maintain, maybe that was his complaint!

I've never met a true enthusiast that would treat anyone like that, even a guy driving a Yugo, if he showed interest.

Thanks for posting the pics Chaa!
And I agree, simply owning a Ferrari certainly doesn't make you an enthusiast, be it an old one, a boxer, or a new one.
Just look at the barn find pictures and tell me those POs gave a hoot about the cars!
