Keith, I agree with both your points. Brasil was just NOT There. I truly feel bad for them especially losing to France.

As for Portugal, the boys should learn to shoot a bit more. Their main blaster Maniche was very busy yesterday working the WHOLE feild. I guess because our VERY important Costinha was out. Man, that guy Maniche can blast that ball!!!

But the hero of the game was definetly Ricardo (Portugal's goal keeper) I never used to like him because of his stupid mistakes and his habbit of coming out too far. But he is ok in my books now! :)

Personally, I think the coach was awesome. Fair to both sides and always let the plays go. He gave Rooney a red but that was deserved. That is what Figo should have got in that ugly Nederland game for also acting all hot-headed.

Man, I am just happy to be where we are. However, I cannot say the same for my liver ;)

Dude, get off the crack come on....what are you talkign about. Do I need to say names like Kaka......reality hurts
They were beatten fair and square.

England was a man short (top player on there team btw) for an entire period. Their next top player (Beckham) was playing hurt..........Portgual was very lucky to win this game in shootout......dude, what games are you watching ? lol !!!
The only thing they did well was the shootout...........and for the record, the goalie saved their arse and won that game.

What ever happened to Ronaldinho? He never really did anything of any importance in any of Brazil's games.

Dude, then you MUST have been watching a different game. Portugal almost scored a few times but didnt. We had alot more chances, alot more possesion etc. Rooney? Did he really do much up until he got booted.

Sure the goalie played well (Ricardo) But It's like me saying the ref saved the Italian teams arse in the last game. C'mon Rick. Stopp bustin chops ;)

Heheh, it hurts doesnt it? C'mon inman, chill out. Just because they lost doesnt mean you have to blame the ref. Man, this sport never changes. ;) The past Portugal - Nederland game was bad ref'ing and I totally agree. But you say this ref was bad?

Hey England, thanks for coming out. ;)

Did you see how many chances England had ? They had the same amount. Plus they played with 10 men half the game. Where was this Portugual dominance ?

As for the Italian game, if you watch football in Europe (not tsn telecast) when a player throws his entire body (150lbs) infront of a player and a ball on the inside the rules state penalty kick. Watch the replay.

Portugual played well, no doubt, but Vasco you cant be serious....the whole second half, plus 30 minutes into overtime and they chance it to go into a shoot out ? That is luck my freind. The only skill in that game was the Portugual goal keep, 3 saves in a row. Thats a player !!! Thats who won you're game.........nobody else.

You saved me from writing the exact same reply :p

Seriously Vasco, everything Rick said is right on the money. The one and ONLY reason Portugal advanced was becuase of Ricardo. Period. Whatever else I was gonna say Rick has already stated well enough, so no point in me reiterating what has already been said. :)

France v. Germany in the finals.

Yes, as you say Ricardo won the game for us. Ricardo plays for Portugal.....Portugal won. I don't wanna be like the Italians so I will stop being annoying about our win ;)

Also, there was no dominance from Portugal you are right. The funny thing is Scolari knows that too. He was once quoted as saying that Portugal will be trained to play more against a team with one less player. Too funny.

What the hell do you know about soccer? Where the hell is your team anyway? It's funny when Portugal wins people come up with these B.S theories.

DJWannabe, how come when I picture you and soccer I picture this in my mind. ;)

    Not 100% but close ;)

Brother, to admit you are wrong you know it always takes a certain size of "cajones" which alot of people don't have. When a valid point is made I will take it regardless if I like it or not. I know you are a straight shooter so I KNOW you understand. ;)

If and when we lose. I will still be happy for our boys.

Hehehe, sorry B. I was a bit under the influence when I told France to f-off LOLLL. I really wanted Brasil to win.

You know I like the French across the 401 that is!

When does Italy play anyway?....I gotta check the schedule. Man I already miss the days of 2 or 3 games daily.

Italy plays at 3pm ET on Tuesday, my prediction is if Italy can overtake the home team, they'll win the Cup. Our worldcup history against Germany is 2 wins and 2 draws, but now they are on home soil........

Maybe so...but no doubt the better party...especially in the GTA, will be if Italy and Portugal advance to the final...it will be crazy!!

BTW I just got back from Italy and OMG...the media there is insane!! Take the local media in any Canadian NHL city... now take how they react to every little thing...now multiply it by a gazillion!!!...my head is still spinning.

Vas, here's the video of what it was like...insane! One guy walked in with a Brasil jersey and was forced out! Another kept shoving a Germany flag inside...never to be seen from again! :)

Too funny. I dont see the problem with everyone partying together. But you know some guys are looking for trouble.

There was this drunken dutch guy at the bar during the Portugal - Netherland game. he stood out like a sore thumb. It was funny because the same guy was at a different restaurant during the Portugal - England game with a Portuguese jersey. LOL - True story ;)

It was all in good fun, the Brasil guy was playing soccer in the streets after the game with everyone. The entire length of Mulberry St was closed with people just kicking balls around.
