I was looking through the adds. And I came across a 2001 Silver/tan 360 Spider for $125,000. 11k miles. Yes it is a euro but I think if it checks out(PPI) then it is at least $20k below book. Here is what is making me nervous on the car, it is being sold by a high end vehicle store. They know what market value is why are they so low...anyone here have any info on the car.

that's pretty aggressive....bentley/chicago has a similar one a few months ago for $135k. i wonder if it's the same....

i bet if it's red/tan or black or yellow/black, someone would have taken it by now (assuming all is good).

being a euro car and over 10,000 miles, i dont think that is too cheap...they know the value of their car, I think. A U.S. pider would be worth some 150,000 to 160,000 depensing on condition and mileage. Also this car doesnt have many add ons. It looks beautiful though. They all do.

I really have to disagree... this is the 1st spider I have seen for sale under $145k....Im sure some have sold under but comparing asking prices this is the first that I ve seen this low.. there are 4-5 01-02 euro spiders with similar miles but asking is $149,000 and up. what add ons are you talking about..because my last 2 360's were heavily optioned but not much weight was giving towards them....11k miles on a 6 year old 360 is average from what ive seen.. lets face it none of 360's are collectables...maybe a CS...

I think it is laughable that a 5 yr old car with an average of 2.2k mi/yr is considered to have a great deal of mileage.
Anyway,I know that I pd 25k less than market for a '99 euro 360 (in '00) and got 25 K less than market when I sold it. That's just the way it is with euro's even tho the US modelssince '03 are out of warranty, the euro's are lighter thus sl faster etc etc.

I bought my 360 from them and I highly do not recommend them. They are not the most trust worthy people. Took forever to send me my title, then sent me another Ferrari title, promised me car cover etc, took them 8 months to get it to me after many calls/emails. Then my car came with minor front end ding that wasn't there after I signed docs, in person. Just a bad experience.

typical bull****....the price online was $124,995.00 at 2pm by the time I got home from work it was $139,000.00. Though they forgot to change the price on cars.com it is still $125

It's about $10k to $14k under market, at least for what it could fetch over here in Calif. Is the title clean? Are there any records showing any body/paint work?....

Most dealerships would tend to start at $152k and hope to run into someone who doesn't understand the difference in value between a US/Euro car. That price is a private-owner blowing it out fast & too cheap.

When something sounds too good to be true....it usually is!

    Good luck! :)

Although I have not seen the car in person, I have spoken fairly extensively with several people from the dealership about this car. Although they don't know much about it, the car has had some paint work but they are not sure how much or where, it has a check engine light on for an unknown or undisclosed reason, I don't think they have the DOT/EPA paperwork but they do have a title, there are no service records on the car but the carfax shows frequent servicing, there is a cut/tear/hole/leak in the top and the mechanical condition is uncertain, there also may be an issue with the transmission/clutch. The price was dropped to $125,995 in an attempt to sell it by the end of the month and increased back to $140k. I believe they are in it for $128k but they are ready to sell it. They say it is $5-6k away from perfect but that could easily be $20-40k depending on some of these issues. I think it is a $110-115k car and although I am looking for a 360 spider right now, modern project cars with undiagnosed problems don't interest me. I know of several 00-01 euro 360 spiders that can be bought in the same price range but have not found the red or yellow F1 car that I am looking for. If anyone has or knows of one, please let me know.
    Thanks,
    -Ed

Ed is correct, I did talk to them about this car and I would stay away from it. It sounds like a project that would run more then the 6K they say it would cost.

I bought a my first porsche (996 carrera) and a cl500 from them. They are very price competetive. But beware of their sales tactics. They are not to be trusted. The first time around I was only slightly dissapointed but the second time was worse. I will never buy from them again. If you have to buy from them, make sure to thorougly inspect the car yourself as well with a ppi from an independent guy.
