What Would You Do to someone who stole your Ferrari

If I caught them i'd beat the crap out of them, then tell the cops they went for me first so its self defence

 

Beat them like they committed a crime........then beat them again and again..........and again and again.

1. Call the police. 2. Notify my insurance company. 3. Shed a couple of tears.

I see this thread and think: it's a car. It's a great car. It's a beautiful work of art, but it's still a car. I can get another one just like it if I want to.

I also think I'd rather never see the car again, rather than get it back all beat up or wrecked by the dope that stole it.

But beat the guy to a pulp? Nah. I wonder if I could arrange for him to have a very special roommate while he's in the county jail doing his 60 days for car theft.

Dm_n_stuff, that is without a doubt the smartest thing to do...

I love it when people say "beat the hell out of them"....granted this is a natural first reaction (and I feel the same way), but there is nothing more dangerous than a startled criminal. Every Ferrari in the world is not worth a bullett to the head or a massive beating (because you did not see the other guy(s) with him keeping a lookout).

I rather draw attention to them, and if they still take the car, live to tell the tale (ala give the police a description of the culprit) than get beaten to death and they take the car anyway.

Call the Police and let them handle it. Most of the Ferrari owners I've met at shows actually couldn't do much about it. The car gives them an ego boost, but hopefully they would recognize that this does not make you a good vigilante or tough guy. Plus, they may break a nail or tear their shirt during their tizzy fit.

I'd call 911 and tell them to send a body bag. But seriously, in the 1800's , when horses were the primary form of transportation, what did they do to horse thieves ?- They hung them !- Why should it be any different with cars?- I guarantee it would put a hault to stolen cars.

Then I'd buy another.

That's why I have insurance (agreed value on the 328.) It ensures I can replace the car if it is stolen or totalled.

 

At least it would drastically reduce the number of repeat offenders ! !

I would let them take it. Then call the cops, and then my insurance company..get the nice check from the insurance company..go buy another and say "it needed the 30k anyway, suckers" Saved me the hassle of doing it, and the money..so maybe I just park my next Ferrari with the keys in it in a bad neighbour hood when the 30k is due!

I think certain crimes should be punishable by time in a stock, or stockade, the block of rough wood your wrists and neck are closed in. Imagine three days in it, exposed to the elements, no food or water, and rotten tomatoes and excrement thrown at them. Maybe not for car theft, but surely for harm to a women. Maybe two days for car theft
