Ok well its only 6hrs and abit till the game starts. I played the finals lastnite on EA's Fifa WC game and it ended 1-1 at full time, then Italy wins 4-1 I think Italy has the ability to win tonite but the French did upset Tournament fav's Brazil to make it here soo anything is possible. I'm actually sick this weekend so I'm not sure if I will go watch it in Norton st yet, but if I do go, see you there maurice70

WOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ITALIA WON!!!!!!! I ended up going to Norton St, luckily I did decide to go What a rollacoaster ride that match was. I never want to hear another 2week Socceroo fan complain about diving, because that French player got the Gold medal for diving. Now that is what a REAL dive is all about!!! Anyway Materazzi was able to score 12mins later!!! 1-1 at the break, Italy dominating the 1st half. 2nd half tho, the French turned up the wick and dominated. Tho when the Italians did make the French half they rattled the woodwork and Zidane did a header which Buffon saved!!! and it ended 1-1 like I predicted hahaha Extra time and the Italians were making silly mistakes!!! I thought it was all over then, Zidane decided to end his international career on a note everyone will remember, taking out Materazzi hahahaha. I thought at 1st the ref missed it and was going to let him get away with it, but luckly the side ref saw it sooo it was game over with 10mins to go, but the Italians were tired soo they weren't able to play the advantage. Then it came to penalties. My thoughts went back to 1994, where it ended in tears and the commentators kept talking about the bad luck streak. Then the impossible happened not only did the sub(fresh legs) for the French hit the woodwork and bounce out, the Italians actually scored all 5 Goals!!!!!! Norton St went crazy!!! about 2 dozen flares lite the street in red!!! I can only imagine the party in Italy right now We hung around for about 30mins then we did some happy laps in the car and now I'm home about to goto sleep In Summary: Italy should of won it in regular time but afew decisions went against the Italians. The deserved winner won and Italy have now won it 4times!!! Also the Socceroos lost to the world Champs so I guess the 2week fans can be happy about something I was wearing my Schumie Cap, now its his turn to win the Championship

Yeah I was there and was doing laps with the GT4.Alot of people were taking photos and video of us in the car as I had a huge flag outside and the Italian National Anthem blaring from the stereo.Another guy I know also was doing laps with his new 430 spyder and another friend of mine in a 328GTS.And no none of our cars got rolled over

that is a vote by the ppl tho. they would of voted b4 the last game. Some ppl that were in Norton St after I left said there was 2 black 430's and one of them even lit it up
Actually, FIFA officials voted for him. Voting stopped at half time. They finalised it when he scored his 3rd goal for the World Cup with that free kick. The headbutt was when they had 10mins left in the game. If the headbutt was in the 1st half, then maybe he would not have got the coveted Golden Ball? On another note, the Italian goal keeper, and the Frenchman who missed the goal in the penalty shootout are really good mates and are holidaying together in the next few days.........
Yeah I misread the website its not a vote by the ppl, but by the media, all that FIFA do is select the shortlist. FIFA dont vote. The Silver and Bronze Balls were both Italian player tho it was close but I dont think Zidane did enough b4 the match to earn that title.... True. they cruised between norton/marion and ramsay streets for awhile, and then parked outside of haberfield hardware with the italian flags draped over them. sounded beautiful!
