What's with the Ferraris (looks like 2 of 'em) in the cheapo auto sales lot?

Those are what you'd call 20/20 cars............they look good at 20 feet and 20 kmh.

Trust me......my shop is about 5 blocks away and I have been driving past them for almost two years now......with for sale signs in them all that time.

I find that interesting Martin because I am curious about owning a Ford GT, without the stripe, in a dark colour. My understanding was that there were none available without the stripe in our neighbourhood.

I am itching for something new, and as Sheldon knows, I am flirting with the idea of a FGT vs. an SLR.

Go SLR if the price tag doesn't bug you.

They're pretty rare cars. I've heard there are (or gonna be) +200 Ford GTs in Canada...

If you want to be the "man", ask for the new "722" edition of the SLR.

LOL your posts always crack me up

No, I don't think I would sell to get another. Would likely be an addition to the stable.

    Brim.......

IMHO the Ford GT will be a much better car in every respect, both in the short and long term, than the butt ugly (I've seen the black one that was in Lone Star's showroom and went away "unsold" and the silver one which was delivered new here in Calgary) and hideously overpriced SLR.....buy an SL65 and a Ford GT instead if you must have both (I know you've had the SL55)........heh.........and "save your money" !! With apologies to ING.

I saw the same GT that Dino did outside Chinook Mall a couple of weeks ago as well........very understated in gray metallic I must say.

Make mine blue with white stripes though.

PS...note to self...change avatar and signature again.

I'd almost agree with you there. But I don't see how you can cross-shop an SLR and a GT. They're completely different cars.

I'd recommend Kds' solution of getting both a GT and an SL65 (then get the limiter removed, obviously). Have fun!

    You can do that?

Brim. If you get the Ford GT. See if you can get the Heritage Edition. Its pretty much like the original Gulf color scheme the original GT40 race car was painted in. I have seen this car..he drives down 17th once and a while. (Photo not taken by me, but taken from Beyond.ca) I nearly fainted. This is the way to go if you buy a GT.

Brim. It also appears who ever told you that lied to you. This is the exact car I saw the other night. No lie. Grey no stripes.
